First it's the 'sales', now it's the 'longevity equals quality' argument. You must think the new WOLFENSTEIN game is the best FPS ever then.
Although you do strike me as the sort who'd resort to a "mine's bigger than yours" argument...
When comments likt that come from someone with more than three bubbles, I'm immediately suspicious.
HEAVY RAIN doesn't look like the sort of game that you can just lift a chunk out of to provide a demo.
Maybe a short, demo-specific sequence not actually in the game itself would be an idea, just to demonstrate the game style and play mechanics.
Why are hardcore gamers 'facepalming' this? It's optional isn't it?
I think 'simplified controls' should be in most games; My aviation-loving Dad had a stroke a few years ago and lost the use of his right arm. He'd love to play some games now and then, especially something like BLAZING ANGELS, yet there's nothing out there that caters for him at all.
Well then everyone's happy. Us with a stunning game, while you're happy without it - Odd, but happy.
MS don't have to do anything. The 360 would inexplicably 'stay ahead' even if the console sprayed acid in your face.
Just an opinion of course.
Of course, the law that prohibits kiddies buying 18 cert games (and movies) has just been proven to have a loophole here in the UK meaning that, unless the law is amended sharpish, anyone regardless of age will be able to buy HEAVY RAIN.
Hope that doesn't get the metaphorical scissors taken to it - I can see HR becomming a 'poster case' for the censorship brigade seeing as how the visuals are that good.
If true, who cares what people who clearly don't want the system (regardless of how it's priced or shaped) think?
Oh Wakka... Wakka, Wakka, Wakka. Matey, chum, pal, what are you trying to prove? That repeating the same lie over and over makes it the truth? It's clearly worked on the people who are 'agreeing' with you, but the rest of us actually have a working brain to make our own minds up.
The concept of what constitutes a 'Platinum' game for Sony obviously eludes you. That or you're being deliberately obtuse and 'dumb - Either explanation makes you objectionable.
Netflix?
I thought it was PS3 owners who "bought a movie player" and you 360 lot were only interested in games.
Remember, people only attack that which they fear...
Quite liked the demo, especially when she went into 'bonkers' mode and the screen went red. Loved the 'scratched film' look too and, like it or not, having the central character be a stunning & sexy arse kicker does help, A LOT.
And this article, ladies and gentlemen, along with the nodding dogs rushing to approve it and it's "facts", means that N4G is now, officially -
WORTHLESS...
Water! Now my Space Sack can crashland his escape pod in an actual ocean at last!
I do wish they'd add a 'paint' tool though.
I can build some pretty cool things out of cardboard (for example), but to colour it with the stickers is pretty tricky. Far better to have a paint tool to change the basic colour.
I still don't think this is a game for me to be honest (although I am more than willing to be convinced otherwise), but there's some sterling work going on there, I must admit.
or..
"bu bu its just QTE's"
You know it'll happen!
Even if WOLFENSTEIN gets unexceptional reviews I'll probably buy it. Gunning down Nazis never really gets boring, does it?
Have you seen the movie then?
It's been getting pretty good reviews actually.
But will the movie have Cole as 'good' or 'evil'? They'll probably gloss over that aspect entirely... The game has such a great story to start with (loved the twist at the end) that I can't help but think the movie will bugger it up.
More responsible journalism I see - Good show boys. I'm sure they'll cover themselves at some by point by bleating "but it's all for fun guys" and "we love BOTH systems"...
I feel they could do another game in the HEAVY RAIN 'universe', but have it as totally seperate story with it's own identity, rather like SIN CITY: New characters, new story, but similar art direction and such so gamers know right away it's the same 'place & time'.
The title could alude to the first game by saying "From the world of Heavy Rain" or something, but other than that the first title wouldn't be referenced.
