I'm looking forward to BAD COMPANY 2 way more, and am playing the first again now rather than spend money on MW2.

You can throw all the features you want at a service, at the end of the day it's basic function is to PLAY GAMES ON LINE. That should be free and if people want those other sevices, they can pay extra for them.
So the general consenses is that the SP is overated but the MP compensates?
What the hell sort of approach to game development is that? Stuff the people (like me) who actually PREFER the single player experience then, eh? REALLY glad I didn't buy the game now - Nothing to do with MW2 "stealing UC2's thunder" (idiotic comment) - I just expect a fully rounded package when I buy a full priced game, not a bias towards one communtiry and a sop to the other.
Even though I've been a PS3 owner since launch and love the performance it's delivered, I'm seriously worried that a game like HEAVY RAIN is going to fall hard simply because the public WANT to be spoon fed the same old thing, despite claiming otherwise.
No, I didn't buy it either (and don't plan to AT LEAST until a massive price cut - Even then I'm undecided).
I went back to the first game after a huge gap recently and found it seriously lacking. Guess KILLZONE 2 spoiled me...
But hey, the 'majority is always right' it seems, but in this case I can live quite happily with being 'wrong'.
I've had the error a few times, but the trophies always sync soon after.
Am I surprised? Of course not.
Am I slightly saddened that far better games get overlooked for things like this? Of course.
I'd rather see them create a new series specificlly for two-wheeled machines.
I'm against state censorship (self imposed censorship is another matter - We wouldn't need state censorship if people were more responsible), but am all for game certification.
Having said that, the UK had a morning television phone-in today where parents openly admitted to buying MW2 (18 certificate here) for their children, thus rendering the certification system useless and giving the 'censor everything' lobby all the reason they need to start bringing down the hammer.
Why do simple-minded gobsh1tes go round creating new accounts just to be nasty? What motivates them? What mental processes leave them so lacking in morals, social skills and intelligence that makes such a petty, childish thing so rewarding to them?
I suspect that in 'real life' they're the sort of cowards who only insult others when they're in the safety of their 'pack', and that on their own, they wouldn't dare say such things to the face of an idividual without peeing thems...

Slow clap for Edge... It doesn't matter if a game doesn't innovate as long as it's good (my words). All of a sudden, Edge agrees - A few months ago for KILLZONE 2 they didn't agree.
And please, none of the "but it's a different reviewer" excuse. If a publication's scoring system can't be 'consistant' then it's USELESS!
No competition out there for you maybe - I'll certainly grant you that.
I rather enjoyed the single player campaign for what it was, but the online was a disgrace.

I have a US PSN account for demos, but don't use my credit card on it. I could buy a US card on Ebay, but I shouldn't have to.
I bought a PS3 at launch, have bought dozens of games and poured a lot of money into the PSN items that ARE available on the European store. I really would like to be treated on a par with other regions rather than be coninually frustrated by reading about what I can't have.
Not a service I'd ever use - The only reason I want 'cross game voice chat' is so that people STOP GOING ON ABOUT IT!!!;)
