Still too high. Implies it's more than mediocre. This game suffers from all of the mechanical issues of ME3 plus all of the mechanical issues from Frostbite. Seriously. This game is a technical dumpster. Story aside, as it's irrelevant to the review when the GAME in question doesn't function well. For Christ sake it uses P2P for the coop! Quit lowering the God damn bar for games, people! It's not a bad thing to have standards.
4k is useless when people can't be bothered to make bigger world's with more interactivity. Resolution easily became the most overrated thing this generation. Right along with hardware specs. All this power and everyone is still trying to make Hollywood setpiece crap. The industry has turned into and Micheal Bay production. Deus Ex had a crazy deep world. I want to see more of that, yet people are convinced that gamers want "movies", 4k, and big name actors. It's a joke....
The problem is that the 360 had custom architecture. The PS4 and Xbox One are both showing the same issue. Because they can't be squeezed for power, they essentially have already capped out. The 360 and PS3 made massive leaps every year. Even if it is 6tflops it isn't custom architecture. It can only go so far.
Here I am waiting on devs to chill with the polygons and use the RAM for heavier scripting and more depth..
Wouldn't mind a new achievements list for it either. But hey, I'll take support of anything on these pro consoles.
With a multiplayer that hardly functions? .2 is taken off? Well. I see we lowered the bar here significantly. How big was that check from EA?
I see we have some Profesional liars here.
You cannot jump and boost without some kind of bug happening 50% of the time. Saying you haven't seen a bug proves to all of us you don't know what a bug is OR your standards are so pathetically low you probably shouldn't talk as you're giving people false hope.
It's the glitches I'm talking about. Like dying in multiplayer, being revived and unable to walk in particular directions. This is a glitch that's travelled across engines. Pure stupidity on their part. Facial animations have always been bad, them having a budget with the last 3 ME titles compared to the original was no excuse. This game on the other hand is the worst performing game by far. ME3 wasn't this bugged. Not to mention retaining all of the issues from ME3 multiplaye...
EA access showed more than enough. Glitches from ME3 still exist and it's a new engine..These guys couldn't code their way out of a paper bag. It's awful. Avoid it completely.
You know, or just write it off. One of the clunkiest turds I've played in a long time. Unacceptable for AAA.
Because relevance. So glad I get my hilariously inaccurate amount of minorities for the sake of having them instead of a deep RPG. Good job, Biobeware.
To be fair, this is the C team. It's not Edmonton. Even though a lot of guys from Edmonton still left and never came back since they started this behaviour after the ME2 development.
Shocker. They cut every corner in the book with 3. This game coming up with nothing isn't surprising. I'll play the MP at some point since ME3 MP, as bad as it was, is where I met the guy I've been playing all of my games with since it was released in 2012. Shouldn't be long until used copies are a thing.
The C team with awful leads, one of the worst writers in gaming, a complete lack of understanding as to what a sci-fi or RPG game is. People keep wondering why it's bad, you had no reason to believe it would be good. The team that made Mass Effect 1 doesn't exist anymore. The people involved with 2 and 3 aren't even around minus a few. You're giving it credit because of its name and that's BS.
Mac Walter's? Bad at writing? No. Couldn't be.
Gives 6 to a game for not being revolutionary when it wasn't trying to be. Gives 9 to a set piece simulator thoroughly stuck in modern gaming's tropes. Convinced graphics over substance is the way to go. I get it. The Switch is something of a let down on a lot of ends, Zelda on the other hand was a perfectly fine game. It isn't the best one, but it is a good game.
I hope there's more than just the character strolling through stuff we've played already. A separate campaign to introduce the class.
Worked there. This is exactly what will happen. They've done it before.
Typically Ubisoft titles have some of the worst multiplayer around. Not to mention awful communication with the community. And that's saying something considering guys like Blizzard ignore and take a dump on their communities chest.
