Regardless of what system this is played on, it looks really polished. I'm liking what I've seen so far of it that's for sure.

It just sounds like a different way to customise you're character on the fly to me. It certainly doesn't sound like a pay to win MP cash grab to me.
Put it this way with 2 options....
Can't play GOW R at all coz there is no possible way
OR
Being able to play GOW R in some way shape or form with those of us who have an unfortunate impairment.
I know which I'd prefer if I was in this position as something is better than nothing.
We, the lucky ones in life that have our , fingers, thumbs, wrists, arms, legs, sight, hearing, speech, taste etc etc take it all for grant...
It was on sale, might still be for just $13 last week. I nearly gave in. Glad I didn't, this is a great game to get for free now if true.
A single player game should have a strong and in-depth story to the characters & overall feel to the game, Elden Ring does NOT have this at all. Games out there like Elden Ring, Demon Souls, Bloodborne and similar RPG styled games do not have a strong storyline at all and is a different style of game altogether. Not at all criticised for the games that they are but are not in the same category as best Single Player game IMO.
This game 100% needs a sequel or at the very least screaming for a next/new gen version.

I'd have to agree with you. Fantastic looking game but the time it takes to get to the battle only to be shot just before you and even aim down ya sights was off putting for me.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game at all and I'll admit I'm crap at it but it became a bore fest for me within a short hour or so.
Again, not picking on the game itself, it's just not for me.
You come to playstation to play the large open world story driven games, that's what they/we're great at.
You can go to the competition for the fast, action paced games & MP games (which alot, dare I say it, most are available on the playstation network too)
There are clear choices.

It'd come in handy for me as I do fall asleep when playing games these days. NOT because of boredom but being an older gamer, late nights big days etc.
Plenty of times waking up with controller in hand & looking up to see a "you died" screen. Lol.
Maybe stick to the car racing sim games then where walking doesn't play as bigger part in the game mechanics. 🤔

Don't laugh but I don't understand as I'm a casual gamer but what's the difference between the MW2 multiplayer that I'm playing online now compared to this ranked play etc? What is ranked play. I thought I was playing with a rank that increases at certain point stages.
Hell yes. looks crazy different from other games on the market. It's got a Bioshock and Here The Lie feel to it but with enough differences to make it unique also. I'm liking the art-style too which ties in nicely.
Will be keeping my eye on this one.

This looks really good. For me though, I'm not keen on rougelite games. I no longer game like I used to with hours & hours of spare time.
I loved Returnal but I'll never finish it either.
