That’s not how a contact works. Having a contract with an independent studio to make a game for you doesn’t equal owning them. Here is another key word Independent. Both Sony and MS had contracts with Platinum Games around the same time to make games for them, Nier and Scalebound, does that mean Platinum Games wasn’t their own and was owned by both companies?
