Should we expect an article Sony is back when they stocks go back up? This happens every time Sony stocks go down, yet I never hear anything when MS loses stocks. I recall similar articles the second MS bought Activision. Yet none of those who reported that, write an article when their stocks went up.

Their was no pivot. They literally said they are going to focus on releasing about 6 and delay the rest to ensure quality. Delaying a game is not a pivot, nor are the scaling back. If anything the success of Helldivers 2 outside of servers being full, shows they are on the right path. Create a live service game that people can enjoy and not feel like they are being forced to pay to things

Is anybody else getting all these stupid ads popping up that covers things to read?

Judging the quality of a whole game from 1 trailer is what anyone with a brain would call copium and desperate for click

@SpacedDuck

And what happened when the made a good game? Rather than supporting it, people are here complaining and refusing to supporting, then go crying when said game is put on ice. It's almost some people don't want them to make good games, so they could things to complain about.

@Tacoboto
Ubisoft never said or suggested ownership is bad. This is when you know people are not just sheep, but you know those who read the interview, vs the gullible sheep who just read the headline or regurgitate what their favorite YouTuber told them.

The guy was talking about what needs to happen before subscription services become a more significant slice of the video game business. The guy was literally talking about subscriptions services across the whole i...

The problem is people crying and not supporting the type of games they claim they want. Imagine if this was a live service game? The usual suspects would be screaming on top of a mountain about how this game sold poorly because it's a live service game. Yet, as I keep saying, watch the same people who never cared to support this game start a hate campaign if Ubisoft decideds to make the studio work on a live service game or decided to out the game on ice.

Also, I don...

Can you post a link to this claim?

I have no idea, why people intentionally misinterpret what he said. I never knew game subscriptions only exclusive to Ubisoft. People just see a topic and never read pass the headline and run with it

And this is why it best to ignore fake outrage like this online based of lies. The guy was talking about subscriptions overall, not specifically Ubisoft. I am pro-physical, but what he said is true. Even most of those who buy digital don't even own those games. It's just a licensed. Those who promote Xbox GP are a good example. You don't own any of those games and if you subscribe to it, then you are OK not owning the games you choose to play and no buy.

This i...

Lay offs and flops are happening now. It has 0 to do with service games. Hell, without them, a lot more studios would have experienced lay offs. About 70% of EA's revenue came from live service games. Now imagine they didn't have them. Some gamers are something else, I have seen people hoping Rocksteady fails and layoff most of it's employees, just because they made a game some people didn't want or got their feelings hurt.

It honestly amazes, how some people get so triggered in what happens to these made-up characters. Especially given there are dozens of versions, with some dying numerous times.

You are right fox, it doesn't affect me, that is why you will not find me crying about games that hurt their feelings. Both games can exist, for those who like live service games, more power to them, and for those wwho don't like them, more power to them. I just don't give a flying fuck. I buy and play what interests me. Got far more important things in life to be this triggered, hurt, salty over games I have no interest in. Don't like live service games, don't buy them, s...

Actually both can exist, a good balance of both is ideal. If you don't like them, don't buy, constantly crying online does nothing, especially when there are millions out there who support these type of games. If over 70% of EA's revenue comes from live-service games, that should tell you the reality of things. Companies go where the money is. A game like Prince of persia if I am not mistaken only had about 300K players, which is sad. Now imagine if Ubisoft decides to have the stu...

This means absolutely nothing and pure copium. I tried to look at the company they got the information from and I was taken to a site with Social Casino games. Based on their own article, the early access has been out for a day or two. So were they searching for the refunds before the game was even in early access? Numbers are not adding up, especially given where it leads

You might expect that searches for "refund" wouldn't exist before the game had launched...

Do not think Digital sales includes upgrades, as it isn't a sale for a game, but paying for the extra content. Sony has been doing $10 upgrades for most of their games and never once did anyone refer to them as sales
