Seriously, post like these are stupid. Wasn't there an article on how COD has lost players? And another on how overwatch is losing players too? Apex? These type of games go up and down. Many even with lower players, still have far far larger numbers than most can ever hope to maintain. Destiny 2 has been out for what 8 years now and I expect to see 2-3 more articles about how the game has lost more players before the year is over.

Why would they stop? Some are going to fail and others such as Helldivers 2 will be successful. Imagine if they decided to stop investing in single player games during the PS3 and PS4 eras when some of their single player games failed? You are supposed to have a good balance of different type of games, from indies to AAA games and single player to live service games

Actually it is if that is leading into a biggest holiday season of the whole year. As I pointed out, EA Sports came out about 3 weeks before DA and that is currently 60% on PS, more on PC if I am not mistaken

Most huge game don't fail, well at least in comparison to smaller games. There are thousands of games that release each year, at best 200-300 of those games are AAA/AA games, the rest are smaller games and a significant majority of them fail. You can have 800 smaller games fail and nobody cares, but when 2-3 huge games fail, all of a sudden, the AAA industry is dying or huge games are failing.
