Activision call the shots, because they are publisher, so before you have a go at Infinity Ward do some research yeah!?
Activision cannot fire them. They can only request they do not work on the contract because Infinty Ward is not a company owned by Activision, they are only contracted by them.
That contract runs out in October 2010 and Infinity Ward have already been talking with another publishers.
