Personally, this is not a console killer in my opinion. There are two many flaws and too many supposed analysts are missing out some of factors going against such a development.
1) We are entering a HD era for gaming, and the UKs internet is better than many other nations right now. It is due to be improved further and that is only targetting a 2mbps speed everywhere. True 1080p is approx 36mbps... that's a gap of about 34mbps... or over 90%.

Because there are more gamers in Europe than in America, that's how I know. And every gamer that knows about game conventions, know about GDC and want to know what Sony is revealing, especially as Europe is Sony's strongest region.

It's confusing why this isn't being done late morning (starting 11:30AM).
They know Europe is interested in watching this live, you'd have thought they would put some sort of advertising that appeals globally (such as the cool coca-cola adverts) and make sure the different regions get to see it at a useful time.
Instead Europe, GDC's biggest audience if on at a sensible time, have to watch this about 01:00 AM. Doesn't make sense from a financial point of view.
Xbox only mags and Xbox only sites are easily impressed. They haven't seen many AAA games yet, so when it comes along, which is rare, they score higher.
PS3 mags and PS3 only sites will mark lower because it is what they have come to expect from a AAA game that is released periodically now on the Sony console.
The multiplat mags and multiplat sites, review on a Standard Def TV, meaning that both version look essentially the same. So it is no wonder they give the same...
So does this mean Xbox magazines and Xbox websites are easier to impress, you know, because they don't get many AAA games.
This sort of thing is run of the mill on the Playstation brand, so it is not as likely to make them say "Wow, this is best game so far."
