DONKEY KONG COUNTRY TROPICAL FREEZE!!!!!!!!!!!! It is literally better than most games on that list! Where is Shovel Knight?!
For me this year in no particular order, DKCTF, Shovel Knight, Wolfenstein, Bayonetta 2, MK 8, South Park Stick of Truth, Infamous Second Son, Far Cry 4, and Shadow of Mordor are so far my favorites.

Both DKC2 and DKCTF have great soundtracks. Not only that, but they are masterpieces overall. Hell, the whole series is great. One of the best 2D platformers ever up there with SMB3, SMW, SMW2, Rayman Origins, Shovel Knight, Ristar, Sonic & Knuckles, etc.
DKCTF is one of the best platformers of all time. It is telling that we don't even have best platformer of the year at TGA. It honestly bull****. DKCTF should have at least been nominated for best soundtrack. Shovel Knight would have also been an excellent contender for best platformer.
Kieghley must have been embarrassed by the Cranky Kong announcement which is why it wasn't nominated. Along with No Man's Sky, it was the best new announcement from that trainwreck...

This game looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I think I will enjoy this more than I did Skyrim, hate to say it.
Okami didn't do well, look at the awards it recieved. Just because a game doesn't do well doesn't mean jack about the quality of the game. Think about what you say before you post.

Love this game. One of the best, if not the best, 2D Mario game of all time. For me personally, it is hard for me to choose which one is better, SMW or SMB3.

The original rumors states Monster games is the main developer. It will also include animal buddies from DKC, not a kart.
Riding animals in a racing game is ambitious. And with the added adventure mode, you will have a different experience from MK8 and SASR.
