It seems the asset geometries are the same but oneX has sharper images overall. It's especially apparent on the grass, the alpha maps are way clearer on oneX. We need to know what frame rate it runs on oneX to see if it excel over PS4pro further.
its the games that both sony and microsoft need right now, not another hardware... pls...
You need everything to have a successful console. Specs, games, timing of release, units available at launch etc, they are all related. Hardware specs could attract devs to make more games, which could attract console buyers but these also works in reverse, higher install base is required in order get devs interested in making games for that platform. We also have seen examples of console with great hardware, great launch titles, yet failed due to bad release timing, just like the Dreamcast. ...
This is how u do interview. No written note, no pausing, natural. Just 2 brightest minds in the industry having a talk yet didn't go too technical to drown out laymen. Neil really put many game journalists to shame.
My 2yo scratched my 50" plasma, I couldn't even show my emotion although i bled inside. Kids... sigh...
Just got a Samsung KS7000 and very happy with it.
Great feature! Now let's see when a TV manufacturer puts freesync into their products. Honestly I don't see it happening in this console generation...
Absolutely right. 4K is waste of resources but HDR HUGELY improves picture quality. I was going to wait for the ROG SWIFT PG27UQ monitor for my ps4+PC but the rumored price is so high so I went for a 49" Samsung KS7000 TV instead. With my ps4 pro, The Last Of Us looks so good in HDR mode! I'd go for a cheaper TV with 1080p + HDR but there's no such product. If you want HDR, u need to pay for the 4K too. The industry simply focuses on wrong area to upgrade!
PS4 pro ownder here. While I really admire the architecture of Scorpio after watching digital foundry's reveal, I still gotto agree with thie article. The soul of a console is on it's games especially exclusives. It's really weird that MS seems to allow you to play XB games on PC and still want to sell you a powerful console...
HUGE improvements.
The pre-patched version at 0:20, I'm sure the animator was just joking, and the supervisor either missed it or he/she was thinking "hey, this is fun, let's approve it!"
After watching digital foundry's explanations to scorpio's hardware design, it's really a masterpiece. Implementing dx12 into the chip is crazy and they made it. It's great to see console hardware doing something niche again so developer can make use of those unique feature to do some magic. I'd hate to see dev having hard time developing on a weird machine but part of me actually wishing there'll be another ps3 kinda console, instead of every consoles losing their ide...
Thats kinda is an excuse too. U need to supervise the work even if they are outsourced.
Quite a stupid article. Exclusive games cannot die. First party published or not. Exclusives are where the souls of each consoles are, that's what determines who they are, how different they are from others. Nintendo even keeps innovating on the hardware so there are exclusives that aren't even possible on other platforms. When exclusives die, also means consoles die, coz everyone will be gaming on PC instead.
Too many masterpieces!!!!!! Too little time!!!!
One word, greed. It bites them back.
8.5 is a good score, especially from an XB focused website.
I have just platinum horizon, but it's really hard to call it a better witcher 3. While horizon's combat blew witcher 3's away, its still head and shoulder to witcher 3's masterful story telling, dialogues, music, side quests, refined character personality etc. Witcher 3 still left big impact to me after finishing the game, thanks to the story. I can't say the same to horizon.
It's because of zelda...
please, devs, stop shipping games when they are not ready...
Watched both sony and microsoft's show, I personally like sony's more, coz there's little talking and just trailers and game plays. Really like god of war and spiderman, and monster hunter is gonna be great. I'm bummed there's no TLOU2 news tho. Microsoft however, got me really interested with oneX hardware. It's crazy they are able to make it such a small hardware!
