No doubt. How many first party games per year are we really talking about here? I would imagine most of their business is third party games anyway. They're cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Besides, people who want physical games are still going to buy physical, even with Gamepass having 3 or 4 new releases.
It's beautiful in the videos. Had it on PS2 and the remaster on PS3. Guess I'm buying it again.
Progression in what is essentially a MOBA is stupid. The only progression a game like this needs is for people to get good so that they can rank up and play with people at higher skill levels. Making a character more powerful through add-ons in a multi-player game just doesn't make sense to me.
Sony is doing pretty much the same thing with PSNow. In fact, they did it first. The only difference is one allows you to install games on your hardware and the other is streaming only. But both are play all you want for $10 per month.
Gamepass doesn't wave anything in your face as free. It clearly informs you that it is a subscription service, just like EA's and PSNow.
Phantom Pain leaving isn't a MS thing. It's not a MS IP. If you want to be upset about that then why aren't you complaining about Konami?
I'm not sure I could buy into a fantasy where an overweight person is parkouring around like Lara Croft or Nathan Drake.
Someone please think of the children!
Then it's a good thing you have the option to play 360 games on the the Xbox One.
It's good to see so many games coming. There are a few on that I lost that I'm really looking forward to.
You die
People buy for different reasons. Lots of people got it for the single player stuff and don't care about the multi player loot box stuff. Personally I don't think that the single player content was worth full price, but is probably a solid buy at half off.
I'm probably the only person who enjoyed it.
I was upset when Sony made me choose between keeping my simple Linux projects and playing new PS3 games. I enjoyed playing with Linux on PS2 and PS3. I upgraded to the firmware that removed Linux, but it was a sad day. I understand why they did it, but I wish they would have found another way to plug the security hole.
@bluefox They probably mean that you can't download P.T. any more. I don't know if there are any other PSN games that people lost when they were delisted. That's the only one I can think of.
People still think there's a war. That's sad.
Bring back Taki
The Battlefront 2 system absolutely is if the contents are random and the chance of winning the big prize is small. To not be gambling games should present a menu of the items and a price for acquiring each item. Take the random aspect away.
Will it be like before when they acquired all those studios and then shut them down?
To a certain degree the players have a right to feel entitled. Hello Games made big promises and didn't deliver at launch. So it's nice to see them trying to make good. They're a lot more dedicated than other developers for sure.
Eh, not everyone is into ownership these days. A lot of people only keep games for a few weeks before they trade them. Subscription services are the future for these folks, especially if new games are available day 1. It's cheaper overall for them. Gamepass is the cost of 2 new games per year.
If ownership is your thing then subscription services aren't for you.
