Lots of the guns are expected to be carried over from BC2 into BF3. An M16 is an M16, DICE isn't gonna make up fictional guns for BF3.
It's just the gun images that have been borrowed from BC2.
IGN simply tried to cash in with a traffic-bait article, which, ironically, made it to N4g as well. They tend to do this a lot.
I think Microsoft has paid Epic a hefty sum to keep Gears an Xbox exclusive.
Besides, when was the last time MS published something valuable on the PC (besides Gears back in 2007)?
It's a great idea of offering folks rewards for participating and playing the beta. It's something other developers should follow, as betas are getting more and more common.
Mortal Kombat always brings back so many memories.
Hopefully they'll have a public beta too, for everyone else :)
Well, if you read the review...
Yep. I've been running it just fine.
I played the beta. It was the worst Battlefield experience ever. It costs $7 to unlock a gun. So for the price of three guns, you can buy a copy of Bad Company 2 on Steam. Or BF2 complete collection.
Well, WarCraft was doing just fine as an RTS as well.
StarCraft MMO, anyone?
Battlefield's all about large maps, lots of vehicles, lots of players. Sounds like you're confusing Battlefiled 3 with Modern Warfare 3.
True, but the great thing about Battlefield is the freedom to chose. Have you ever noticed that the team with the most sniper campers always loses?
Bunch of great ones. Looking forward to vol. 2 :)
Splinter Cell 3D on the 3DS looks interested. I'm waiting for a few reviews before deciding whether to pick it up or not.
Same here, it almost got obsessive to achieve the awards.
BF2 used a mix of US ranks and awards, and fictional ones -- it worked pretty good for BF2.
Super Meat Boy Ultra Edition looks interesting, finally out on PC.
Care to clarify how they "suck"?
Yep. Publishers pony up millions to the developers, so developer's costs are covered and they get to take 15% of the sales.
