Dog tags are just like a special avatar or profile that is displayed every time you kill an enemy.
Actually the dog tags and the specact kit are preferable, since everyone will eventually get the physical warfare pack later this year.

I'm still a bit bummed that there's only 4 classes. BF2 had six. One more class in BF3 wouldn't have hurt.

I've honestly never heard of this game until reading the review.
This is more than just vehicle animations, it's how the player characters behave when they are shot etc.
You could make the same argument for singleplayer taking focus out of multiplayer :)
Disagree, singleplayer and multiplayer are different. Multiplayer needs to be realistic, while too much realism in singleplayer makes it boring.
Steam is the biggest digital distribution system in the world. You can bet your ass that it'll affect PC game sales of BF3 if it's not on Steam.
I think they announced it too early... 2009 and it's not scheduled for launch until 2012.

Sounds about right. Most Battlefield games have shipped with 8 or so maps.
I prefer the BF2 version, I loved the juxtaposition of the beautiful paradise island with an all-out war :)
These are just the CONFIRMED maps, there will be many more that have yet to be announced.
