Yah, they opened up the whole world to any level character and there's just so much to do at any point in time. Before you progressed from one map to the next, now you can go anywhere. They did it so different areas weren't always dead or so crowded, but the list of quests to do at any point can seem daunting.
Loved the idea of the 10 year plan. MMOs' have had that long (and longer) life span and its fun being able to continue on with a character that you've invested so much time in. Sadly, Activision's idea is 0 carry over between games so far and a constant barrage of DLC. No game out yet, and they're already discussing DLC and not focusing on improving the main game.
He's probably looking at the number of people that played Pokemon Go when it started and thinks everyone doesn't mind killing the battery on their phone repeatedly on a daily basis.
Probably 2020. No way in hell it'd be done by 2018 and they'd have to rush the game in order to make it for 2019. with 3 years away, it might be tail end of this Pro/X consoles and then on the next gen systems.
Like spending millions to delay entire pieces of DLC (not just a few items) for over a year and having the company not announce a release date for the other systems to begin with? cough GTA IV cough...
Fuse was crap compared to the original concept. It lost the fun of Insomniac and got corporate BS ideas on what gamers want.
"Runs At Dynamic 4K Resolution"
Dynamic 4k is now "true 4k"?....
Like in Skylander, Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions, ...
FOS? New genre?
Yes and no. They showed a CGI trailer that looked amazing. They didn't show any gameplay at all to show people what it was all about. Glad it's finally coming out, though curious what it'll look like.
Finally. Curious how the gameplay will be.
Nice gameplay from FarCry. Fighting the religious cult looks like it'll be fun, especially with a furry companion mauling them for you.
It's Ubi's way of getting in on the toy selling genre like Skylander and crap...
Yah, since the beginning, technically PS4 has had crossplay with multiple games. PC, PS3, and PS4 with FFXIV, and Rocket League has had it with PS4 and PC.
That install base is tempting for many devs.
"get items, get invalidated a month later, rinse and repeat with bigger numbers"
That's the joys of MMOs. You level up, get the best gear, then they release new content and you have to spend time getting the new best gear.
I'm offended by your comment about you being offended. I should get at least 2 articles.
@Ziggurcat "By August, 1941, women were operating the fire-control instruments; they were never allowed to pull the trigger, as killing the enemy was considered to be too masculine."
Soviet Union - "About 400,000 Soviet women served in front-line duty units,[7] chiefly as medics and nurses."
Britain - "By August, 1941, women were operating the fire-control instruments; they were never allowed to pull the trigger, as killing the enemy was considered to be too masculine (cough ziggurcat cough). By 1943, 56,000 women were in Anti-Aircraft Command, most in units close to London where there was a risk of getting killed, but no risk of getting...
Don't group all indie games with this one. Warframe is F2P and online only, but it has a ton of content and new stuff coming out all the time. Rocket League is indie (though buy to play), and they keep pumping out new free DLC along with the paid stuff.
