how does a controller make your aiming skills suck. I play on ps3 but when i play with a 360 controller I still play the exact same way. I agree that the ps3 sticks are much smoother and I prefer that but saying the controller is making him abuse the Aim snap because the player thinks it's cod is foolish. This guy thinks that he's playing a COD campaign that's why he couldn't hit a thing during that first gameplay cause he was trying to snap onto the targets when BF3's aim...

that's like 4 million in sales without marketing. This 11 minute ff type-0 trailer actually makes me sick because it proves that Square Enix set out to make a stripped, watered down version of FF13 right from the get go. If they can fit all that on the psp there is no excuse for FF13 to be the game it was. It really deserves a 55 score. I have it on pc and even the higer resolution graphics (marginal) don't save this game from being a lifeless post-apocalyptic snooze fest. It's like they took doom, took all of character out of the combat, stuck in some cirque de solei mutants and added in totally laughable rpg lite elements and smushed it all into a large empty wasteland where only the background has high res textures and everything in front of you looks like Doom 3 on low settings...Do...
He didn't make a slip up, him and his whole dev team sold out. That's not a slip up, that is a conscious decision. RAGE could have been something special but there id tech 5 is nothing but megatextures. Everything else is id tech 4 and the way they design the game it makes the world seem boring. Not to mention that none of the lighting is dynamic at all and 99% of the environment is static including the npc's lighting and shadows. They are all pre-baked in just like cod games. Act...
Haha yea...Not only is RAGE a very simplistic and boring gallery shooter, It is also inexcusably buggy on PC. Carmack and the gang sold out when they joined bethesda (A.K.A. Team Xbox) and started designing casual gameplay mechanics.

I can tell they had some collaboration on design choices with rocksteady since they're all pretty much part of the same organization of developers under square enix. They made the whole scene look really dramatic but i wonder if it'll be that easy for players to do.

nobody mentioned review scores here...i'm speaking mainly on what I have seen from gameplay videos on youtube or sites like GT and whatnot...plus the released a punch in the dick for 60 bucks for many pc owners.
it sure looks generic...like a michael bay induced post apocalyptic rail shooter from what I have watched...Id could have done some great things but it looks like it was mostly hype with this game but who knows I haven't played all of it so i can't be totally sure but from what I have seen it looks like i would not really be enjoying it.
personally, i'd get crysis instead of rage if i were you. I just played it and for the ps3...it looks like a high spec tweaked version of crysis on pc at about 720p res and the sound design is revamped. Also the controls almost warrant the 20 dollar price tag since the controls were so god awful in crysis on pc. The pc version still looks miles better but the new cryengine 3 lighting and water effects mixed with some more graphical tweaks do wonders and for getting the game to run on cons...
baaaa baaaa says the sheep. When they bring FF back to what the actual fans want it to be then i'll start buying it day 1 again...but the only FF i plan to buy day 1 is FFvs13. I was burned hard on FF13, they knew all the FF fans would buy this day 1 and so they screwed us by giving us a game that is only half of an FF game and a lame one at that. They played on our loyalty and now I hope they feel the burn of that decision when FF13-2 releases and gets no sales
Actually...you could arguably blame microsoft and the xbox 360 for most of these tactics this gen. They pretty much created this whole dlc trend with the xbla and marketplace and the usage of the dvd format instead of something bigger. Most of Microsofts marketing techniques and shady dealings rely on dlc or dlc exclusivity. Dude they probably couldn't get it running smoothly at 30 fps. So much shit going on during that. I bet that whole fan excuse is bullshit. Who takes out a whole level cause a couple people bitched? If I had to guess they just couldn't get it running smoothly on ps3 and or 360 because it's probably the biggest level in the game since it spans such a wide area in a matter of minutes and has to render such far distances on the fly.
No the pc version lighting is way better I think...I just want them to give us a patch with the controls. The controls in the pc version suck ass.
