The PS3 was what won their Blu-Ray effort. The losses in the early days of the PS3 was apparently worth it to Sony in the long run as not only will Playstation licensing bring in money, they can thank the PS3 for the money Blu-Ray licensing will also bring in. Because they are seperate divisions, it looks bad for the PS brand, but over all it wasnt (isnt) terrible.
I'm wondering how much of the quitter problem is actually from quitting. I was using the revenge bonus for a while and was constantly being kicked from games. It wasn't until later I realized it was from teamkills due to the revenge bonus. Since alot of people probably have this from gamestop preorder, I wonder if it's a factor
Im allways disapointed by the negative reactions to R2, I loved RFOM and REALLY loved R2. I liked the story telling changes, the bigger scope and the changes to multiplayer. The only negatives with it in my view were that it needed some more polish, and I missed the weapon wheel.
Apparently I was in the minority, but I'm really hoping R3 is more like R2 then RFOM.
Watching HD OnDemand movies on my cable box, a service designed specifically for this, still looks like crap compared to a blu-ray.
All 1080's are not the same. resolution does NOT specify video quality. I can watch a 1080 show on cable but it still has compression artifacts and has a general poor picture quality. I watch a blu-ray and its nearly perfect.

I think its hilarious when people say somthing like 'Uncharted is not very original, it copies most of its ideas from Indiana Jones'. Apparently these people dont understand that Indiana Jones isnt original, it got it's ideas from the old adventure serials from years and years ago...doesnt make Indiana Jones any less entertaining, and it doesnt make Uncharted any less entertaining either.

I think at this point the ps3 has everything it would 'badly need'. anything else will allways be a nice addition but not a requirement.
My distaste for waggle aside, How exactly is Nintendo doing anything great? 23 years after I first played super mario brothers after getting my first NES years ago, they are STILL making the same exact games.

It wouldnt matter if every single thing the guys at Turn 10 said was 100% fact, they would still have no class. Everyone wants to promote their own product, but these guys are just complete douchebags about it. It's a real turn off to me.

Well it's not exactly a new thing, this information being so widespread is what's new. Home consoles almost allways go through many revisions in their life cycle, however people never used to make a big deal of it as they do now. Lets not forget the general consumer isn't spending time on game news sites and following every detail of hardware revisions, as far as they know the a psp on the shelf now is the same as it was 4 years ago. I dont think this is true. A guy posted about this on NeoGaf earlier saying his GS said something like this, but another guy who is a store manager of a GS said its not true. Anyone who's been to GameStop knows its not unheard of that their employees dont know whats going on, I think they are confusing the pre-order download code for GT (free car or something).

This is by far one of my favorite games, but lame "backwards" flying pushed me away after more than a year of playing, a few months later I came back to be turned off by people flying under the map. Love the game, but its ruined by glitchers. Best way to play it now days would probably be clan vs clan or something where everyone is respectable and wont glitch.

However, at the same time it's a fault of the developer not to limit things like this. You dont have to mod a controller to get autofire, never have. Remember the NES Advantage? this was an autofire controler straight from Nintendo. These things have been around for years. A developer should limit the fire rate in a shooter, or limit any other things that are adversly affected by autofire. When you are programming any multiplayer game you should ALLWAYS expec...
I dont understand why digital downloads is an argument against the PSP Go for retailers. They sell mp3 players & digital cameras just fine. The psp go still will have accessories just like those other devices, what difference is there that I am not seeing?

This is a bit aside from the main topic but it brings something up that really is becoming an issue. Alot of people now seem to not understand the difference between a demo and a beta. Demos are for you to experience a portion of the game usually helping you to decide if you should buy it or not. Beta's are for the developer to tweak the game and find/fix problems.
I dont think this issue is entirely coming from the gamers, as the last few years dev's, gamestop, and both Sony ...
