Lets be honest here. As a standard hack n slash game, it would be considered great, as a DMC title, it looks average at best. Even if they used the DMC3 Dante skin instead of this tameem lookalike, his character and his humour is very forceful, and pretty much reflects the stupid chavs in UK who love smoking, swear in every sentence, and think with their d**k rather then their head. All NT have done is made a chav look cool.

This will be a decent game, but lets face it, this will never be a Devil May Cry game. Let Capcom develop DMC5 and let Ninja Theory worry about creativity and narrative just to give it some western mix and a story element. They need sum genuine fans of Capcom games to actually work at Capcom, and not some nutcases, and FFS stop outsourcing your titles to crap developers. Lost Planet to Spark? RE to Slant6? Come on Capcom, get your thinking gear on!

I would play this game no doubt, not because Im a fan, but just because im curious. This is no devil may cry title, thats for sure. No amount of moving environments and pretty colours and PR rubbish will change that. Ill say it once, and Ill say it again, NT should have gone to Capcom and helped CAPCOM make DMC5 (i.e. story and other stuff), not Capcom going to sum british chav who thinks hes sum sex pistol making a gimped game.

I dont get this, we all knew MGS:Rising was going to be hack and slash adventure, why not give it to the best people who know how to develop amazing core combat systems (Platinum with Bayonetta and soon to be Anarchy Reigns)? Seems like a pretty badass collaboration to me. Kojima productions input with Platinums game play development skills = Pure Win!
EDIT: Just saw the trailer, pretty meh, but I will give Platinum a chance, they have yet to dissapoint.
As a Ninja Theory game - Great, looks better then the previous titles they have made.
As a DMC title - Not there yet.
Dont get me wrong, story may be great and all, but if the gameplay aint a step up from Bayonetta or DMC3, then that alone is fail.

Will take more than an original Dante skin to make this game better. Engine is a main problem aswell. If this game was being developed by Capcom using MT framework engine, stuck with Dante being half demon Half human, then I bet the complaints for this game would drastically decrease. Bottom line, they should have made DMC5.
Deserves them right. We buy their titles, but they show no loyality back. They release titles, then release another version with exclusive content, then another, then another. We are still in recession and they are trying to milk us with shoddy products. Let Capcom continue digging its own grave, my eyes are set on the replacement, which are Platinum Studios, which again, was Capcoms stupidest move.
There are very few things to like about the trailer. I liked the Inception esque and the City, apart from that, it was naff. Music was a hit and miss, some people like it, some people didnt like it. What really pisses me off is DANTE. If you cant get the looks right, what makes anyone think they will get his personality right? He looks downright like a bitchy version of Nero, and Nero was already a bitch as it is.

Ninja Theory is a company that is half assed. They focus so much on graphics and story but complete forget they are making a VIDEO GAME. Heavenly Sword and Enslaved are pretty much bare bones when it comes to gameplay and technicality. This is why almost all fans for DMC lashed out as NT doesnt have the resume to make the game. Ninja Gaiden 2 did suck from a technical stand point (bugs, cheap AI etc) , but what sucked about it was fixed in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. I know people complain about the blood and gimped difficulty, but I do not consider any of that a deal breaker. As a package it was a great. Cant wait to see Ninja Gaiden 3.
As for DmC, well, Capcom and NT have been a complete comedic act about this game, and am glad to see fans bitch about this game. I do hope the best for NT, but Capcom mad...
Gosh, how dumb are these pro DmC fans? All initial reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt. Remember Driver 3? 9/10 on psm2, remember too human? 9/10 on OXM, remember Hitman, 9s also.
