DmC SE - No
DMC4 SE - Hell Yes
DmC really couldve got a better publicity on these merits:
1) Dont call it DmC, call it Chronicles of Tony Redgrave or something
2) if Tameem wasnt a complete cock and didnt strip away all the necessities fans were telling was fundemental, only for now to add them in when modders have already accomplished most of the new features on the PC version
Damages done, people have moved on, and ...
Took Ninja Theory/Capcom a severe back lash and a pounding of criticsm from fans to add these features , which, most are available via mods on DmC on pc. Not that i hate this game, but I will take the original series over this all day, any day, anytime.
Give me DMC5 on Panta Rai, with Vergil, Nero and Dante and a weaponry level of DMC3 and dark gritty environments of DMC1, THAT will make DMC shine like it used to.
Yeah DMC4 did end up being slightly dissapointing story wise and Capcom were too lazy with Dante to make flesh him out and have his own set of levels and bosses, but gameplay wise it was sublime. If you played it on PC, with LDK and turbo mode, it was so refreshing. one of my pet peeves from going from DMC3 SE -> DMC4 -> DmC was lack of turbo modes in the latter, and the experience just became less enjoyable.
Overall I want a DMC5. I suspect DMC4 is being rereleased aft...
+1 for DMC4
but hell ****ing no to DmC. Even with all those additions i still refuse to pay £30.00 for that heap of crap.
They just remastered a Ps2 game onto PS3,only to now remaster it on Ps4? I love FFX but this is the very definition of milking it.
Ninja Theory...talented?
Heavenly Sword - The game that had rediculous amount of money pumped into it and was only 5 hours long, 30 FPS capped and no jump button and couldnt even compete in gameplay compared to an older generation games like Ninja Gaiden 1 and DMC3?
DmC - The most hated and controversial Devil May Cry title to date? With the biggest plot hole where Mundus didnt know about Vergils existance when it was on a massive painting of the whole of Spa...
Capcom, you are potentially the THICKEST company alongside Square Enix, how you are still in business is beyond me. You have so many amazing franchises in limbo i.e. Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, Maximo, Powerstone, amongst others, yet you do nothing about them. You worry about sales, well, how do you think games like Assassins Creed sell well? because they dont stick their bloody titles in limbo, they keep making the games and marketing them, and Assassins creed is was only on a sing...
Maybe i am one of the minority, and while i did enjoy underground back in the day, going back to those routes seems a little backwards. In fact Underground only really appealed was due to modding cheap low range to mid range vehicles and maxing them out in stats and aerodynamics, as it was the buzz back then i.e. max power, redline magazines, and fast n furious, which is something that is clearly died down i.e. the phase of midnight club racing moments.
EA made the mistake of...
DmC had one of the biggest plot holes in the existance of the WHOLE DMC franchise. How the **** did Mundus not know Dante had a twin brother when there was a bloody supersized painting in their house blatently showing 2 kids next to Sparda and Eva.
DmC had some kick ass environments, however everything else was lifeless. Rubbish boss fights (seriously Mundus morphed baby making funny noises from sum cartoon show), awful enemy designs, stripped from some of the signature move...
Quite the opposite actually. It might be because no one wants to publish their work anymore given their history. They bitch and moan a fair bit when things dont go well, such as with Heavenly Sword and with Enslaved, and while not entirely Ninja Theories fault, DmC did split the fan community up a fair bit. The game has a lower budget compared to its previous titles too.
DmC was inferior to that of its counterparts.
Story - Massive plot hole. Mundus didnt know about Vergil, but there was a big fat painting of the twins at Spardas house
Combat - 30FPS, less weapons then DMC3, slower then DMC3
Environment - Great environments, i cannot fault it for that.
Enemies - Lacked pure imagination.
Dante - Sucked! I genuinely preferred Vergil in the game.
Overall - 7/10 ...
Cool Science Lesson
Completely expected, shouldve lost more. They made countless crap games over the year, and all their nuisance outsourcing has effected their quality in games, Their biggest mistake is still Clover Studios which contained the best devs Capcom ever had.
Capcom, get it together, or you gonna end up like THQ.
Western devs certainly do take more risks - Sure
Do those risks usually pay off - Majority of the time, NO.
why? Because most use shit western developers
Example? Capcom with LP3, RE, DmC
Good Idea? Only to save money
Now, Mikami is a part of Bethesda, which is a great company, so I can understand and appreciate what hes saying. Ultimately its down to which western dev they are working with.
I want to hear Keifer first before automatically ruling him out.
Well its not like Kojima is doing the mistake Capcom did with DmC with totally changing the character in every way. I wanna hear his voice as snake before making any judgement. Hes not playing Solid Snake so logically it makes sense. He does have a distinct voice, he is a good actor as well, so while it might not be 'david hayter' level, it might still be good never the less.
Xbox is supposed to be a gaming console with the best possible online featurette out there, yet this conference seemed to be a lost cause:
1) Xbox one? WTF is up with the name? You go from Xbox, to Xbox 360, to Xbox one? Xbox Infinity was a much better name.
2) A conference heavily revolving around the TV, which coincidently, the XBOne looks like a satallite/sky box too.
At present, Sony did the right thing, and gave us nothing more then tec...
GLORIOUS!
SexBox
1) DmC is a restrictive game compared to previous DMC titles aka DMC3 and DMC4 as an example. The simplest fact that you cant even do two some time in DmC is just a joke in its own right.
2) DmC at 30FPS felt very clunky, and the amount of denial Ninja Theory went through saying now theyll make it 'feel' 60FPS and how lock on is not required shows how amateur they are in this genre.
Reality of the matter is, after DmC, people began to appreciate DMC4 ...
