Actually $500million was spent on marketing kinect alone. There is a reason to why I hate ms when it comes to gaming and them wastefully spending in its gaming division.
While next Gen will be refreshing I really hope Sony, microsoft, and Nintendo up their game in new innovative ip's.
I also hope mobile gaming dies in a hole. Mobile gaming has a big part in where Dev. money is spent and console/PC gamers suffer because of that BS. Mobile gaming is a BIG step back for pc/console gamers if it gets anymore bigger :-(

halo comes out every year. 3, reach, odst, wars, anniversary.
Mario and Gears oth come out every 2 or more years.
Also god of war had 3 games in 5 years. 4 games in 8 years. That's really not milking it.
xursz you are asking a ms xbug. Sorcery was a great game (linear) but fun and definitely worth the $20 that is sells for now. Also the move has a lot more aaa good games vs the kinect. Heavy rain, infamous 2, littlebigplanet 2, and resistance 3 are just some examples of great ones. Until Dawn is looking awesome and bioshock infinite is a must have if you have the move.
The real question is when did kinect get its last good game that's not on the rails or laggy?

Well the wii did start last gen for me and it might as well start this gen for me as well.
Cant wait for nintendo to bring pokemon to the wii u as well as mario kart, ssbnxt, metroid, and many of their other highly regarded franchises.
Low latency is a must for me thus i own a 120hz monitor hooked to my ps3 ,and pc via dual dvi. With the wii u's low latency that will be a big plus for fps games.
why is it that? Isn't sixaxis motion sensing and can't it be used like a steering wheel? I used it with flower and wipeout and it worked perfectly fine.

Honestly i wouldnt be surprised if microsoft bullied activision to make the wii u version graphically on par with the xbox version. We all know thats how MS works and proof was already given regarding the parity clause MS has with game publishers.
Samsung is a cheap company who makes cheap products. They have no software that is innovative and mooch off of others for it. In the gaming (sony is a leader), music (sony is the biggest), and movie world if sony fell their would probably be less in terms of what we get. If samsung fell no one would care. Samsung and apple are really bad for the gaming industry and so for that they can go die.

i had the 360 first but i wasnt going to pay $40 per year for live. I am more of a sp gamer so i got a ps3 as well in 2009. plus i have a gaming rig and laptop so the xbox was collecting dust thus leading me to sell it.
It sounds like sony is really going to rely on 1st party again next gen :D Hopefully MS can do the same so I am inclined to buy more than one console next gen :D
Issue is that the public is too up apple's *** that they don't care about anything else.
The wii u game-pad is very low res. and is has a large screen so gaming exclusively on the controller isn't the best option. (854x480 6.2in screen) The vita oth has a very nice 960x544 5in oled display with capacative touch. If the ps4 could do the wii u stuff with the vita native than WIN!!!
Sony has the best mobile camera sensors, is the biggest company in the music business, and is owning the movie business this year with spiderman, mib 3, and Skyfall.
I think twc has canceled their plans to cap bandwidth. Verizon I don't think has a need to (fiber) and I honestly don't know about att.
But honestly why would anyone miss out on exclusives for this bs. Not to mention the lag streaming games causes and the poor graphics compared to a full on gaming console.
People seem to forget the great year sony has had in it's very profitable movie's, music, and imaging divisions.
Sony has 007 coming out this nov. while resident evil retribution recently came out.
Sony will soon be reporting spiderman's and mib3's profits and they seem to be high.

gta 4 came out when consoles were at their infancy and sold ~20million between 2 consoles. Now with a much higher console base i don't doubt that they can break 25 million hell I predict 30 million + in a year.
