Occulus Rift is the evolution that we need in gaming. Imagine gaming in a theater like environment where you have a massive field of view in 3d and head tracking.
This combined with the move or a similar device would be a massive evolution towards gameplay immersion and a great one at that.
Occulus Rift has a one up against most hmd's in that they will support people who, like myself, wear glasses.
A pc of similar spec can run crysis on max 1080p at 30 fps with fxaa (amd 7850). What makes you think a super optimized ps4 won't have games that look better? Also Crysis 3 is static garbage with very very little realtime destruction.
And how many people own 2560 x 1600 tv's/monitors? Not very many and 4k tv's still have 2-3 years before going mainstream and the tech isn't available yet to support it at reasonable cost. PS4 can and will last a good 5-6 yrs be...

This was my favorite childhood game ans was the first console game I ever played. I really miss crash and would do anything for a reboot to be made. Please Activision do me a favor and actually CODIFY Crash Bandicoot Please!!! Crash is one game I will never get bored of :D

Battlefield 3 on ultra 1080p can run over 40fps on the pc using a 7870.
What the hell makes you think that the ps4 would be graphically weak when it has no os overhead and can be optimized to the fullest???

I am a pc gamer and can tell you that nothing on the pc is close to what we saw on ps4 yet. Crysis 3 is a static game with no physics/destruction so it doesn't count.
Next gen is all about physics and bigger worlds and that is just what PlayStation 4 showed.

Says all the console gamers who say why a consoles only game won't be on the pc. Help even some devs say piracy is too rampant on pc while raking in pure profits from pc gaming. People are too hypocritical about pc piracy vs Xbox piracy. What's funny though is at the end pc devs rake in way more profits than console devs do.
This game is such a hit or miss between reviewers. From the demo I played I felt bored after a few mins. Though the graphics and physics are awesome for a game running at 60fps.

This would be the best announcement I could imagine at the feb 20 event. Ever Since wrath of cortex there hasnt been an old school crash platformer. Hopefully acti screws their head on correctly and makes an old school crash bandicoot.
i doubt you ever played a crash game. Plus I played crash when I was 7 to until i was 12. Still play them again to remind myself how much I loathe this generation of gaming. The only franchise in gaming that has kept its roots are mario and pokemon And I love nintendo for that but otherwise kinect and ios are ruining kids with subpar games and franchises.

hey kiddo before your time naughty dog made this game called crash bandicoot which gave more hours of gameplay than any crappy game that was released this gen.
I buy PlayStation because of gaming experiences I can't find elsewhere. Now that ps4 will support self publishing indie devs. this will bring more pc gamers who love indie games to the PlayStation brand. MS are the only one imo who would be threatened by SteamBox.
