"why so soon"?
Because there will be 5 years worth of research, design and management.
The things they will need to do is:
1. Review everything that happened in Xbox this and previous gens.
2. Review everything that happen to all the other consoles.
3. Look at the current tech out there, history and trends.
4. Look at what tech is coming out in the years to come.
5. Settle of a format of how the games...
If you want to play Destiny with the DLC, either wait or get a PS4...it's that simple.
How long is the wait till the DLC appears on Xbox?
No one has any patience any more!
I do indeed.
It's business, so no point crying over how a company is somehow "deceiving the masses". It's just advertising.
You mean between PS3, Vita and PS4...well maybe, but it all goes back to the same company :-p
I keep think back to 360 how all those timed exclusives and ads for multiplats with the Xbox logo popping up at the end of it.
These are all tricks that MS brought to the table and now your annoyed that sony has started to use them too?
It was fine if they just discussed it...just don't go down that path!
maybe they should have taken some of the games that were being produced for the PS3 at the end of it's cycle to pushed them out for the PS4....now who else did that?
Gee, thanks...I never knew console games were created on PC! /s
You know, I have a PC and a console... but I spend more time playing on the console.
I don't spend that much on games because, a) I don't get them when they first come out, so I'm not getting them at full cost. b) a lot of games I get for free through PSN+.
In the last year the only two games I've paid for outside of PSN+ is Skyrim and TLOU. So I have not spent that much on con...
Sony were just keeping the console design under wraps to keep the hype up...and it worked.
These days people want to see everything at once, but when you do that, then there is nothing left to show.
MS were going to show their console shortly afterwards, so letting them do that and then bring out the console design was a good way of bringing back the focus on your product.
You've got two...and you only need one!
GOTY - FACT!
@ mikeslemonade
A lot of those sports games will still be selling on the old systems for a little while longer, so it might be a bit of time before that crowd move to the next gen.
For a moment I thought they were going to say they didn't want toddlers falling into the pool....but no.
Even if they didn't make any improvements and just released the game as it was on PS3, I would still recommend anyone who has a PS4 and hasn't played the game to get this one.
Any improvements are just the icing on the cake.
As nice as that would be, and I'm sure they could do that. I don't think it would be worth the time and effort to get it working.
@ Future_2015
No matter what settings you jack it up to, TLOU is not on PC, so whats your point?
Uncharted game were great, but yeah, I would want them to put their resources into bring out new games.
Actually, if all those games were coming out, I think we would be seeing a lot of hype about TLOU.
A lot of people liked this games, and there are a lot more people who never got to play it..for them, this is a new game, and a good one that more than stands up next to uncharted.
It's fine not to like it.
Fact is, any game that tries to please everyone will usually fail to please anyone.
ND have played to their strengths here, and for those who enjoy this style of play and a good story will enjoy it.
If you start messing round with the formula which they have built over the years, then there is a danger that they will lose the very thing that made this game a success.
I think their reading a lot into this.
Other than that film Heavenly sword, I don't see anything to indicate a sequel coming out soon.
It would be great, because I love the character.
I hope the film doesn't kill it for me.
