So instead of Eidos pulling the ads, Gamespot completely threw every ounce of the credibility out the window. Nice move Gamespot! You just told your readers that money influences your reivews.

The smart thing would have been to let Eidos pull the ads. At least you keep your credibitlity. Credibility is a must have when your website is supposed to run on "honest", "non-influenced", "non-biased" reviews.

Actually, I should have said, "no way in hell".

For starters, Nintendo's online system is tremendously flawed. It's a complete nightmare when compared to XBox Live or even the PSN.

Second, the Wii itself can't even come close to producing the level of visual or audio quality that the 360 or PS3 can produce.

Great online games such as COD4 or Halo 3 could never reproduce their level of quality on the Wii.

The potential is...

I actually thought I was about to read something worhtwhile and while I understand it's a joke, I just didn't find it funny.

It's actually pretty damn stupid.

I would much rather go out and buy a 4GB card for my PSP and download my games at a cheaper price rather than carrying around a bunch of game disks.

I love digital downloads. It's cheaper, faster (very little load times for digital media), and easy to obtain.

Opening the Playstation store to the PSP via PC is a great move. People like myself who own a PSP and not a PS3 were getting screwed.

I don't homebrew on my PSP so I have no way of playing...

COD4 brings a lot to the table in terms of multiplayer.

I love how you can't unlock all the guns until you advance further in the game. Also, many of the playlists are unlocked as you advance your rank.

Also, I LOVE the fact that they have zero online achievements. No online achievement whoring!

And GOD DAMN it looks and sounds incredible!!! Everytime I play this game I think back to playing GOW for the first time. Everything runs so fluently a...

Seriously?

IMO, the online "experience system" is one of the major highlights in this game.

If you like playing online, this game is a must have! I haven't even touched Halo 3 since I purchased COD4.

Granted the single player is short, but it's so good that you will want to play it all over again. Veteran will own your arse!

Great online play, short but very replayable single player campaign, and beutiful lifelike movem...

Your son stole your debit card and made purchases with it. And somehow this is someone elses fault?

Good luck with this lawsuit. Everyone skips right over that whole "disclaimer" thing. It's that disclaimer that keeps morons like this from being able to win stupid lawsuits.

Sure, one console would end "fanboyism" as we know it. But that is the only "positive" that would come from having "one" future console.

On the consumer end, this would be a very very bad thing!!

One console would mean that we would have no "choice". Having no choice means that we would have to succumb to the pricing and business models of "one" particular company.

So in turn what would keep a com...

Now, I don't have a PS3 or have had a chance to sit down and acutally play R&C.

But Gamespot reviews are becoming quite "confusing". It seems as if they are either trying too hard to be different or are just being too hard on the game itself.

But the R&C review is by far the most "lopsided" review when you compare it to other reviews. It almost makes you wonder if Gamespot was playing the same game as everyone else?

You're right. They took a page from Sony's book when designing the 360. It's funny how people forget that the most successful gaming system in the history of video games (PS2) was plagued with the dreaded DRE, or to spell it out.....

DISK READ ERROR.

Microsoft pushed faulty hardware to get on the market first. Just the same as Sony did with the PS2.

It is rediculous. We go through droughts and then all of a sudden BOOM!!! Everything is hitting all at once.

Yes, I know it's all geared toward the holiday season. Every publisher wants their game on the shelves way ahead the holiday. Many people start shopping for Christmas as soon as November hits.

But in the last 2 months I have spent soooo much money on games.

Metroid Prime 3 - $50
Bioshock - $60
Halo 3 - $70

EA is trying to sell way too much with Rock Band. Guitar Hero keeps it simple. Not to mention that I already have a PS2 guitar and a 360 guitar for Guitar Hero.

I'm not buying anything but a game this time. No more equipment.

Yes, it's great that there is a choice but switching over to Rock Band has this "dirty" feel to it. I have loved the Guitar Hero series of games since day one and for some reason I am really bothered that EA had to get involv...

This is a game! Not a "real" instrument. And while I do think that Rockband is trying to do "too much", not every "gamer" who loves music want to go out and play a "real" instrument.

Games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band let you pretend that you are actually playing the song. Sure, we know we aren't but it's a very very enjoyable and fun exprerience to be had.

Learning to play a real guitar can be quite a frustrating expe...

I read that part of the article and I wondered how long it was going to take for some fanboy to smash the 360 due to misinterpretation. Well, not including replys, it only took four posts.

Anyone with half a brain would have known he was talking about PC's.

You might as well just keep using the component cables rather than purchasing this product.

First off, its an adapter. It's not using a true HDMI source that was built into the 360.

Second, after the filtering process of using such an adapter, I can bet you that you wouldn't notice one bit of difference from this HDMI adapter compared to using the component cables.

The only thing this would be good for is if you wanted to "clean up" your...

Poor countries sell bootlegged games! Wow, I haven't heard that one before.

So what? Software pirating in these countries is commonplace. The governmets in these countries don't care. So in turn software Piracy will run rampant. The software manufacturer's know this better than anybody. It's just something they have to deal with.

Even our soldiers in Iraq are coming home with full bootlegged version of Vista, Office, and multitudes of gaming software...

Is he wrong? Whose to say yes or no?

Thats why its called an opinion.

The only ones who you could say are "wrong" are the people who have zero experience with the game, yet they say it somehow "sucks". How do you know?

If you have thouroughly played the game and you still don't like it, then I guess you never will. But at least these people have played the game and are basing their opinions off of actual "experience...

Does it deserve the perfect scores? Probably so. But the scores are primarily based on the value of the Orange Box.

You get 5 great games for the price of one game. There is no way they could sell Portal, TF2, Episode 1, Episode 2, or Half Life 2 on their own for $60 a piece.

Portal takes about 3 hours of time to work through, Episode 1 and 2 are more of an "expansion" rather than a whole game, Half Life 2 is almost 4 years old and TF2 could possibly ...
