While I do agree that many of the 2.40 should have been available at launch, the internet comment you made is pretty stupid.
The PS3 comes with a built-in wifi adapter. If you need wifi on your 360 you will need to spend between $70-$100 on a hardware add-on. That's just rediculous. Even the $250 Wii has built in wifi.
I just re-read your second comment and I really don't understand what you are even trying to say. It's just dumb. The only console that you...
Well, the article states that the developer says:
"Cole claims that you may need 60fps in an action game like Devil May Cry 4, but in a racing sim where you're heading forward at all times 30fps is more than adequate."
That statement tells me that this game is running 30fps.
B.F.D! Its a racing game.
Next please.
And yes, I own a PS3 and there is already an "established", "exclusive" racing franchise on that platform. Not to mention that I could give a damn about 1080p. The highest resolution on my set is 720p/1080i. If you want to impress me, run this game at a smooth 60 fps.
The difference between 30 fps and 60 fps is way more noticable that 1080i vs 1080p.
This guy sounds...
So it doesn't matter to me. Pay away, I can get it on any system that they choose to put it on.
Three to five years? I don't think so.
First off, to watch a Netflix (download) movie or Amazon "unbox" movie, you either need a Tivo box connected to the net(Amazon) or watch them from your PC (both). I didn't spend upwards of $5000 on a home theatre system and HD television to watch movies on my PC. Yes, I do have a PC hooked to my HDTV set as well. And no, the picture is nowhere near the quality of a Blu-Ray disk. Not to mention that none of the movies on &quo...
Digital movies and games will always be an "option" but never the standard. Even if they are "cheaper" than physical media.
How do you "re-sell" a digital download? You can't, at least not yet.
It may be "easier", "cheaper", and more "convenient" but people will still want to own a physical piece of media.
I bought a PS3 2 weeks ago for this game alone. Granted, there are other games down the road that I want but this is the game that broke the bank for me.
Hideo Kojima should be commended for being able to keep this thing going for over 20 years now. Metal Gear started on the NES and will "supposedly" wrap up on the PS3. Thats a span of almost 5 generations of consoles.
Unfortunately casual gaming is what is going to drive our market. If gaming was ...
John Mayer hates "fun".
His official website will now be spammed with "hate posts" from angry gamers. When will these people learn not to mess with the gaming community?
But in all seriousness, its just a damn game. It's not supposed to be a "real" guitar. It's fun, safe for kids, and I have had a blast playing this game with a couple of beers and some friends. I can play a guitar "horribly" but I know my way around. I...
"ArTITstick"! If I do say so myself.
Now, someones going to lose an eye, or both.
Crackdown faced this same critisism before its release. Everyone thought that the game was only worth the "Halo 3" beta invite that was included with the game.
Well I can honestly say that I thouroughly enjoyed Crackdown. Probably more so than GTA4.
I'll stay skeptical at this point. If it sucks, it sucks.
Seriously? You actually believe that "Too Human" is under more pressure than Killzone 2?
I'm sorry but I have to totally disagree. Killzone 2 was first mentioned back in 2005 and has been surrounded by controversy ever since Sony's 2005 E3 debocle.
Just because they are established franchises, doesn't mean they are under less scrutiny. Gears of War was very well received by the public and gaming editors. And so far, it's pretty fair to say that ...
This guy put down COD4 to play R6V:2. Vegas 2 was complete garbage. I was so looking foward to Vegas 2 and was totally let down. It's such a "broken" game.
COD4 is still and probably will be the best shooter on any system for a very long time.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. Especially the stuff about the internet. Where there was once only Gamepro, Nintendo Power, and EGM magazines, now you have "blogs" and countless websites dedicated to reviewing video games. And anyone can voice their opinion about a game. Information is always great but I think that it also leads to situations like this where a developer feels the need to put out the impending "internet firestorm" that is about to hit thei...
It may not be a 4.5 but it's a very mediocre shooter at best.
It's dissapointing because you expect an "exclusive" shooter to be better than this. The development team only had this game and the PS3 platform to work on. And IMO, they didn't do a good job.
I expected 6's and 7's for this game, not 4.5's.
It won't matter in a couple of weeks anyway. MGS4 will release and Haze will be an afterthought.
There are good th...
Just another broken part of a poorly/lazily developed game.
I am just overall dissapointed with this game.
what is the current online co-op king then?
After playing Rock Band, I think I need a little more than just guitar riffs.
I was dissapointed with GH3. I thought the boss battles ruined the overall experience and the production value (graphics and characters) were a joke.
Every time I play GH2 or 3, I always wonder what it would be like to play the drum tracks to most of the songs.
Not to mention that on every Tuesday, Rock Band gets new content.
Don't get me wrong, I'll...
As long as it doesn't cost us more money, then I don't care what Activision does.
And it's a wonderful thing.
I don't care what any of you say, getting achievements is fun and collecting trophies will be fun as well.
I bet half of you who say "no, I don't really care" will have bigger trophy collections than I will.
