Sony already owns a patent on DVD drive components, so it's not really that big a deal.
It's the same with Microsoft owning Skype, I am sure Sony will have to pay to use it.
Same with Drop in drop out co op games, that is patented by MS.

Well Nintendo always kind of did their own thing when it suited them. I am going to say these specs are real. I also think when Microsoft and Sony do release new consoles they will probably only be on par with the Nintendo specs.
I know everyone is thinking Nintendo doesn't normally go for power, but the Gamecube and N64 were both powerful.
Maybe they are looking to reclaim their hardcore title as well as overall sales title.
Wonder if this one will support Kinect functionality? Cant imagine it being that difficult to incorporate, your basically on rails anyway.

PS1 was great. I remember way back then when Sony was synonymous with fun. Things were so much easier back then.
Dude every Sony post is something everyone here supposedly wants. Whenever numbers for something like this come out they are always pretty low and honestly not even worth the time.
Also, don't you think Sony would have to give the go ahead for Capcom to release these on PS3?
If everyone here actually bought the stuff they claimed they were then there would obviously be a lot more games and consoles sold.

Sony seems a bit lost for a solid direction IMHO.
They have all these nice PS3 exclusives coming out, but they still try to go back and milk old games people played years and years ago.
Now I think some re-masters are fine, God Of War, Halo CE should the rumors be true. I guess I just don't see the point in putting stuff so old on a new console. I have the same complaint with the PSP stuff coming to the PS3. I play the PSP on the go, when I am at home I prefer us...

For those complaining about a remake, it's the 10th anny. They need to bring the original game back that created Halo Mania. I still own the original and when you play it on the 360 you don't even get a widescreen game. HD remake in this case is definitely needed.
Halo Wars 2 would work wonderfully with Kinect, same thing with Viva Piñata, which is one of my favorite Rare series.
Kameo could work with it as well, just would take some interesting control schematics.
Black And White is another one that was built for Kinect.

I don't like to put labels on people either, the whole "core" or "casual" question is absurd. People do use it when it suits them or their argument.
What the hell did you think you would be using? It lists a ton of weapons from Chainsaws to knives. It's not on rails, it's rated M. It's core according to people here, but the idiots here still find something to complain about...sheesh...

I have yet to finish Metal Gear Solid 4. I bought the MGS4 bundle back in the day with the Backwards compatible PS3 and I was so amped to finish the franchise off on a high note, but the game just didn't deliver like the previous titles and I felt it was more of a movie then a game.

Modern Warfare 3 is going to do what it does best. Offer the best online experience, the biggest online experience and the most competition.
It will release a solid if not spectacular game that demolishes the competition, but the whiners here will call everyone else "Sheep" and then go do something sheepish of their own.

Honestly the only thing you can gauge E3 off of is sales. Even that is hard to do.
I usually enjoy watching all the shows for one reason or another but I've never said one was a winner.
