It is. I posted a bigger reply to other posts but it's not the first time a company released more than one console during a single generation. It takes multiple companies releasing devices substantially more powerful than previous offerings, along with some other factors, to declare a new generation. The Switch didn't push us into a new...
@Nintentional , @CertifiedGamer
Actually, the Switch is considered an 8th generation console. A new generation doesn't start solely because a company decided to release another piece of hardware. It wouldn't even be the first time a company released two consoles in the same generation. Magnavox did it during the first generation. Atari did it during the second. Sega did it during the third. Other factors determine the start of a new generation. It isn't until th...
Read the article. It's not some ridiculous conspiracy to shame Sony. Jesus.
The issue is that while the company has a lot of money, the games division only gets a certain allocation of that money and it has to be able to make money too. Microsoft's new business head made it clear when he first took the job that the Xbox brand was not essential to the company. They're not going to just keep tossing money at projects and studios that fail them. It's probably not nearly as much money as you think to get a marketing deal. These deals are much more low-stakes ...
Fable Legends? Really? Every other game on that list I can agree with but that. That game never had hype. It had artificial hype from people who wanted it to be more than what it was looking to become. It was hardly ever spoken of outside of list wars and some poor schmuck who was forced to write about the game because it made an appearance at some convention. It wasn't what people wanted. They wanted a proper Fable game. They got a garbage asymmetrical multiplayer game in the vein of Evo...
Sure. I can imagine that most people who purchase PSVR this year will be those who already have a PS4. That's several tens of millions of potential buyers based on that alone. I'm not sure why you seem to think that the holidays will be a time when people don't spend a lot of money. That's typically what they do.
Also, the total price tag is not over $1,000. You can get a PS4 Slim, the PS4 Camera, PSVR, and a full priced game for a little over $800. Even if...
For Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, how many female soldiers do you think Russia and China use? Even the United States still has a long ways to go for female soldiers to see frequent front line combat from what I understand. Battlefield 1 is about World War 1. Outside of rare exceptions, women didn't fight in that war. There does not have to be one-to-one representation of genders across the industry.
@game4funz
The thing is, Microsoft paid for Quantum Break up front and their next game has supposedly been in development for a little while. Not only would Quantum Break's sales have no 'negative' effect on Remedy's finances, because they already got paid before the game even released, whoever their new partner is wouldn't have known about Quantum Break's performance until after they paid Remedy for this new project. Pretty much all of Remedy's ...
I'll wait for actual real world performance comparisons instead of trusting AMD or Nvidia to not rig a short demo to make their card look much better by comparison.
...but he'll know nothing. :(
I obviously cannot speak for everyone, but I can speak for myself and two of my friends. We're excited for it.
Lol "Looks like Infinite Warfare won't be in space". Trailer then releases showing space combat and clearly non-Earth locations.
The PSP was a highly successful device. It sold over 80 million in its lifetime. It didn't need to overtake Nintendo's handheld business. That's just ignorant.
The Vita is the only independent, dedicated gaming platform Sony released that ultimately was not successful.
What in the world does a game have to do with successful hardware attempts? It really seems like you're just throwing out whatever you can think of where Nintendo succeeded and ...
Based on general critical reception, the game is not exceptional and that's all there is to it. It takes a lot for a game to excel. Sorry, but those numbers have reasons behind them. I have read enough reviews to get the gist. Some people like what the game brought to the table, others didn't, and some were conflicted.
It's not just the 6's and 4's "contradicting each other". Plenty of those 8's did as well. It is not a problem to refuse to r...
As far as critical reception is concerned, the game isn't exceptional. A majority of games seem to fall into the 70 to 80 range. That pretty much makes that range the standard. Quantum Break is just on the higher end of it.
The risks it took didn't propel it beyond the reception a majority of games seem to get and may very well be the reason Quantum Break ended up with a 78 Meta instead of possibly an 88. When you take a risk your hope is that it makes your game stan...
A lot of the women I've personally seen complaining about sexy women or sexualization of any kind in a game are highly insecure women looking to drag down the ideal so that they look better by comparison. It's part of the whole "real women have curves" crap. Which really just translates to, "You should still be attracted to me if I'm overweight and not actively taking care of myself".
As you pointed out, it seems that a majority of male video g...
Just like 2013... and 2014... and 2015....
I was a little worried when I first heard they were putting a Halo character in the game but they did a good job. The only thing disappointing to me about this trailer is no tease for the next character.
Now we just need to know why he passed on giving the Xbox One an identity with actual exclusives.

Nope. Switch is an 8th generation console. It takes more than one company releasing a new device to push the industry into a new generation. Especially when that device is underpowered compared to current gen offerings. The Switch didn't push the industry into a new generation and it's not the first time a company released more than one...
