thank god 'cause i absolutely hate the melee combat of oblivion. IMHO, Demons' Souls combat thrashes oblivion in every single way. The controls are perfect with a realistic sense of weight and feel, and the animations are very good.
do NOT insult Demon's Souls by comparing it with odst.
On one hand, you have easily the most unique game this gen with awesome gameplay deserving the title of 'Best Action-RPG'. On the other hand, you get a expansion/dlc disguised as a full game with 99.99% same old rehashed gameplay whose only appeal is the halo name and the promised beta key for YET another halo game.
10 million sales for your halo3, and M$ uses the $$$ to 'reward' 360 gamers with a $60 glorified DLC with zero upgrades and a 4-5 hrs campaign.
Get this right, sales =/= quality. If anything, the sales just showed M$ that mindless halo fans will buy anything with a halo name slapped on it.
As for Uncharted 2, i don't think gears2 is anywhere near it.

ND's magic really amazes me, i can only hope that they will pass on their expertise to all the other 1st and 2nd party developers.
but i'm pretty sure Demon's Souls will be much more critically acclaimed than DragonAge, even though it won't sell as much due to exclusivity and the fact that it appeals to a niche audience.
Don't underestimate Demon's Souls, it is the most surprising game this gen, and quite possibly the best action-rpg ever made.
there is NO way mw2 DESERVES a 9.4, but it will get it regardless 'cause it's too 'huge' to fail. IGN will never risk the wrath of the COD community from both sides
Frankly speaking, all real gamers should be excited about Agent, this could just be the next big step forward for the sandbox genre.
I've always believed that the advantages of blu ray would be best utilized by RPGs and sandbox games.

i don't think i have ever agreed with any of their reviews....except one. Their Demon's Souls review was really a rare specimen, it wasn't so much about the score than the way it was written. It was as if the Eurogamer staff finally found a game they love so much that they couldn't help but do a real review without any bias or other bullsh%t
I'm guessing even Eurogamer has to give UC2 as least a 9/10.

At this point in time, you would expect them to know better....well i guess i can count myself fortunate since Bayonetta doesn't interests me.
I will still support Sega games like Resonance of Fate, Valkyria Chronicle 2 and Yakuza 3. But when it comes to action games, it can only be GOW3. And even if i'm getting some multiplats, it would be either Darksiders or Castlevania.

looks like they will most likely recoup their losses for their 360-exclusivity mistake, though i still prefer to see them burn in hell for it.
you can bet that the japanese gamers will never again trust any more M$'s 'exclusivity' nonsense. That is also why the next M$ box will also flop in japan if it ever happens.
