but the sleeper hit this year belongs to Demon's Souls. I might sound bias since i've yet to play Brutal Legend, but here are my opinions of the demo -> A. The atmosphere and humor is going to be great B. Combat is a bit clunky and unpolished(i know its a demo) C. It's a fine game but DS is just way too awesome
there will be people screaming over the mike. I'm fine with that though, strangely, maybe 'cause most players wants the team to win badly and i like that.
Gameplay and graphics-wise , MAG really shocked me. I wasn't expecting this level of gfx for a 256 player game, and i certainly didn't expect the customization to be so deep. Control layouts could be improved i guess, but i understand that there are many command options that req. buttons of their own.

anyway, whoever you are, if you are still on the fence at this point of time, give it up and BELIEVE THE HYPE!
I'm (sadly) just a few chapters away from completion and honestly...it's difficult to expect anything to beat UC2's SP in the next couple years, even for UC3!!!

a luxury versus commodity thingy, it's no secret Sony admires Apple's ability to sell overpriced ipods. You pay a premium for the aesthetic and portability(smaller size increased battery life), and there's always a market for it.

i'm REALLY interested to see a RPG looking like that. One thing that happens frequently to me when i play RPG - I get sick of the generic environment too quickly. So it will be friggin' awesome if they can pull off an Alpha Protocol-like RPG(no sci-fi pls) with gfx somewhere close to UC2.
ND whatever you do, at the end of the day,i still want my UC3 :(

Who was that dumb f#@$ who said something negative about UC2's snow? Those are the frikin' best looking snow i've ever seen and interactive too(try rolling around and see what happens to drake's shirt)!
The framerates are fine(PC version) and the story is good, but i didn't enjoy the combat and the dialogue branches aren't as revolutionary as they claim. Graphics is really nothing to shout about honestly, the grainy effect does give off a unique look though.
For me at least,i wouldn't mind if ME2 is released w/o the first ME,but i'll need some reviews because there are tons of must-buy RPGs next year - Heavy Rain,WKC,FF13,Resonance of Fate,Alpha Protocol..etc..
but most retailers have cleared their first shipment and are currently restocking. I think there's a real chance of beating MGS4's sales :)
As for Demon's Souls, we have been playing it for months now :p
Does anyone else think that GOW3 graphics and art style looks really unique?? I can't explain it well, but GOW3 has a sort of beauty that stands out from the crowd and i really dig it :)
The draw distance was very impressive years ago, but after UC2, it is going to take ALOT to impress me now.
Then again i don't have high expectations for multiplats, so i just hope they add tons of things to do otherwise it really doesn't deserve the 'sandbox' title. Still require some positive reviews before deciding whether to buy or rent this game.
I'm 8 hrs into the SP and i've already tried some co-op with my buddies. I'm only stopping 'cause it's 2am+ here and i gotta get some sleep, not to mention that i hate rushing through games, especially for masterpieces like UC2.

there's nothing really wrong with the score, but the 'Realism is intimidating and annoying for casual drivers' seems kind of stupid imho. i pretty sure forza is suppose to be a sim, so i'm not sure what the reviewer is trying to prove here.
I'll be pretty pissed if they do that to GT5, hope they will give the job to an actual driving sim fan.
Just got my copy of Uncharted2,but i had to fight for it(which is kind of ridiculous since i preordered it weeks ago).
Pretty sweet deal too, it actually came with a code for the LBP dynamic theme and of course, the golden guns.

if MW2 gets anything above 9.3 then, since that's the max for any games without originality. I'm so going to make it awkward for them.
i was kind of skeptical when people starts saying UC2 looks better than KZ2 back then(i avoided all the vids/spoilers,thank god i did that, enjoyed the story tremendously).
After playing UC2 though, there's no contest i guess. Overall, UC2 is the BEST looking game i've seen this gen. It's not perfectly fair as KZ2 aims for a gritty/realistic feel and has more stuff going on, but you guys get ready to be amazed by what ND pumps out from your PS3.
