Imagine if any nintendo, Rockstar or Sony studios have spent $1/2 billion on a game and would have shown something like that 4 months prior to launch.🤔🤔.
I remember when I first heard about the budget for that game and that there was 2000 developers working on it, I really thought Microsoft will have a reveal "a la God of War 2016“
What a let down.
What I saw yesterday felt like a xbox1 remake of Halo1. Nothing more.
The majority of what was shown at Sony was gameplay and in game graphics unlike what we saw at the XSX show.
Sony knows how to manage their studios, unlike Microsoft who has spent nearly $1/2 billion on Halo infinite and after Thursday backlash, Aaron Greenberg master of damage control claimed the footage was pre alpha. At 3 months before launch with nearly 2000 development staff, all you have to show for is pre alpha?
How these guys still have a job is beyond me.
The only thing that was clear to everyone is the cross Gen stunt, was just to hide the fact that they have absolutely nothing ready for Xbox SX. Games like Everwild, Avowed, Forza, Fable... etc are 2/3 years down the line.
Inxile studio has only started working on their new project using UE5 and from what has been said about The Initiative studio, we should not expect a game from them anytime soon.

If I was Bill Gates, I would ask where the reported $500 millions budget for that game was spent on. 🤔🤔

What I'm really crossed about is the lie Phil Spencer perpetuate when saying games are cross Gen because they care about gamers.
Now we know by watching the show it was an outright lie.
The only reason they re going cross Gen is because they have no games ready for Xbox SX. Games like Avowed, Everwild, fable, Forza... are clearly 2/3 years down the line.
Which once again prove my point when I say that Phil Spencer doesn't know how to run the business.
To summarize :
It was a good show for game pass but a poor show for Xbox sx.

I personally would have started the show with cross x fire or Stalker 2 tbh.
Both games were way ahead technically than Halo infinite tbh.
Even Destiny 2 new expansion for xsx looked better than Halo infinite.
At least now we understand why Phil Spencer said there won't be exclusive games on xsx for the next few years.
It's not because of how much he cares about gamers. It's because of Gamepass engagement and the simple fact that they don't have anything ready for 2021.

That was pretty shady from Sega accepting that kind of deal especially when you know 70‰ of the sales will come from playstation hardware and the history that particular franchise has with sony.
Halo and Everwild might be the only 2 big exclu games closed to first year launch.
Avowed, hell blade2 and Fable might not even be launching before 2022 imo.
Still great games to look forward.
Really good show but what a lackluster halo infinite demo.
If someone told me this was an xonex remake of halo1, I would have believe it.
The game did not look that great tbh.
The facial animations were terrible, the overall experience had an overwhelming sense of deja vue.

Halo 4 was great imo.
OK the story was not as good as Halo 2,3 but the gameplay mechanics and weapons were way better than Halo reach. They really pushed the 360 hardware to the limits with that game
