Wow, I didn't know part of the point of an argument wasn't to defend what you think.
Makes one wonder why you'd even put out a baseless claim in the first place, genius. /respect
Been circulating NeoGAF for ages now.
such as
Shame GTAs' radio stations reflect real world's radio meaning future GTAs will need to rely on and hope that the time's mainstream and popular music and artists are good.
I don't see R* forcing the classics or obscure artists into a GTA set in 2020 even if they don't like most of the music selection then.
Too bad it's attracted plenty of people thinking it's smart and cool to hate on a mainstream game by making a sweeping generalisation that popularity is inversely proportional to quality.
They'd be challenging that the game doesn't deserve the high 90s average it gets because "they could have added this and that, could have improved this and that, etc".
Makes you kind of think how any game could ever score in the high 90s in the firs...
The only game that I'm really anticipating next-gen.
That Snowdrop engine is a thing of beauty. Totally caught me by surprise at E3 and that door-closing animation has become a sensation.
Also, I can't even begin to imagine how incredible a fully-sized and modelled Manhattan is going to be like. The shot of the city at the end of the first gameplay demo is a definitive tease of what next-gen can bring.
Yeah, and after the next-gen versions it's a matter of years til R* do a fully next-gen GTA which is really inconceivable at this point, but it's becoming their routine defining open-world again and again now.
Sure, for those that haven't forgotten about WD may visit for a week or two. Within that timeframe it may rack up some 80-90% average review scores.
Then, even with next-gen already released, people are still going to be on GTA V for years on.
Good luck, Ubisoft.
If someone jumps at you with a brick from behind there isn't much you can do.
As much as I would want something it's worth avoiding a launch event that could attract thugs.
@Gespenst
Look at you fuming up and drowning us in more of your sorrows.
There are many modes of expression - in games, film, art and books that have immoralities and themes that are more provocative or challenging. No one's forcing you to check them out, but you do, understandably, out of curiosity, even when you know you won't like it.
Even if you did, that's fine and all but if you're going to allow your personal conflictin...
TL; DR.
Cry us streams, rivers and oceans.
imagine SF and LV added in DLC and tripling the countryside.
O_O
we've found the click bait!!
Sometimes I wonder if Rockstar are behind the leaks in the end (excluding piracy).
I'm guessing that the leaks have and will continue to boost publicity and sales in the end.
With the internet these days, even a couple of days of early gameplay footages and streaming is going to set alight the games industry.
Which reminds me: Hope we get to see how the Quarians and Volus look.
Nothing is guaranteed so you don't have much of a point here.
I'm here asserting, as objectively as I can, what I think GAME of the Year stands for, and the criteria that decides and judges the game deserving of that title.
As far as I'm concerned, since GTA V is unprecedented as far as I've seen (and I believe we've seen little of it), it may well just go ahead and claim GOT-Generation for itself.
And as big a fan as I am...
No need for a galactic threat, or any big threat for that matter.
Just give us the galaxy that we all know, to explore a lot more freely now, with even more star systems, planets, colonies and little stories that don't necessarily have to tie to something important.
Sorry, as much as I am convinced nothing will be upstaging TLOU in story and characters in a long time, GOTY is GAME of the year.
TLOU can rack up all the story/character/artistic awards it wants, but GTA V, as a game, is on a truly unprecedented level.
I've been around a few years and don't recall games more than a few months back, but I'm 100% sure TLOU never got anywhere near 100k, and that was out just 3 months back.
GTA V finishes?
