PS3: Entertainment + Gaming(both hardcore and casual(LBP is the big one)
Wii: Excersise(even though thats not really the case)
360: Hardcore shooter Gaming console

maybe you forgot about the MGS4 era... the ps3 outsold everything, and not just in NA.
In my opinion Killzone 2 is not really going to lure as many people as god of war 3 will. Mainly because it hasn't been proven on any other system. Its like Gears of War. People are not going to buy the console for Gears of War when they never played the series anywhere else.
Anyway, back to the first post, they can't reduce the price on arcade system unless the hardware gets cheaper.
My prediction by next year, 2010. Consoles will be priced so.
Wii - $250
Xbox 360 - $200, 250, 300(arcade, pro,elite)
PS3 - $300

Sony always had and always will have the best first party stuff anywhere(nintendo over did it), and also the best developers ever. Its no wonder a Sony first-party title is an instant hit.

I agree with this article in all aspects, but I really think GoW 3 will be a killer app. What makes people want to buy a ps3 for a game is if the game was good on ps2.
MGS had a big fanbase, and because of this, it was a killer app, it sold a lot of consoles.
Killzone 2, not so much. GG made its name on the ps3, and a little on the psp.
GOW3 will be a huge killer app, because like MGS, has a huge fanbase with 2 great ps2 games, and an awesome ps3 game....
In my opinion, PSN has better content where as XBL has better support for friends(chatting, etc).
