Lights off? Yeesh, what are you a masochist?
The HD collection was pretty bad from what I heard and the series has been suffering from some creative bankruptcy. I think a fresh reboot may very well be in order.
This is pretty cool, but aren't these games actually pretty old? I was hoping for some more unique content. :[
Yeah, that seems to run rampant on the internet in the game journalism scene. Shame. :/
I would argue Case West and Case Zero for Dead Rising 2 were longer, and both of those were sold for $5 digitally which is stupid cheap in comparison to Ground Zeroes.
That's not really true at all. The main story mission is about an hour with the cutscenes and the side missions are just padding on the same map. That's collectively two or three hours. Most Call of Duty campaigns are at least four to six hours. Not to mention all of the time that goes into the multiplayer.
Any word on how Ground Zeroes is selling? I'll feel ashamed if a demo is actually turning out to be a best selling store product.
Ohohoho, I see what you did there.
To be fair, Halo went for a Hollywood-esque cinematic feel and to a degree it worked. I agree though, the music felt more movie like and less like Halo.
"Why not get Marty and Davidge to score together in the same way that Marty scored with Michael Salvatori for the Bungie Halos."
Exactly what I was thinking. :D Let's see them both work out some creative genius onto the game.
His job was commendable, but I think anyone will agree that he doesn't hold a candle to the big guy himself. O'Donnell MADE the Halo theme and all of the other soundtracks. I'd really like to see him return.
It'd be like Marty's returning home! He was sorely missed on Halo 4. :(
$1300 will net you something 'decent.' If you get your own parts and not something pre-built, you'll probably get some pretty good specs out of it.
That's true, but unless you have a 4K TV, that output is useless and those TVs are pretty expensive right now.
The games play and operate exactly the same but look slightly different? One version will look a little better than the other, just like last generation. It's not really rocket science guys.
It's the old switcheroo. PS3 had more difficult architecture so devs usually approached the 360 version. This time both consoles run on x86, so developing on them must be pretty simple. PS4 has higher specs though, so Xbox One will probably have games with lower settings for the most part. Not that that is a huge deal. I'd rather have that than some of the shoddy ports PS3 got early on.
It's not really his job to market the game. That was on EA and Microsoft. His job was to make a great game. We should applaud him for his honesty. Caring only about making a fun experience and not about what sells is exactly what this industry needs.
It's THE game to own on Xbox One, so I imagine it will make money over time.
He's probably referring to the 400% boost in sales that occurred when the game came out.
If these sell well, they'll probably do those or even a new one. Or both.
