That comment was from, August 24th, 2007 just a few days after Bioshock was originally released, and shortly after Irrational was bought by 2k.
There was no PS3 version then.
The PS3 version of Bioshock came over a year later (Oct '08) and was ported over by 2K Marin, not Irrational Games.
If you are going to try and make someone out to be a liar, do a better job at it... for example, get your facts straight first.
@wilhelm
yeah, it's "supposed" to be good alright... but it's not right now because it just doesn't work properly.
it's got all the components there, but what kills it all is
1) the long matchmaking times
2) the lag
3) some unbalanced weapons (ahem, grenade launcher)
and lastly and worst of all
4) the game ending glitch that causes a freeze where you have to turn off your console sometimes losing progress/rank in the pro...
i'm probably going to get slammed/lose bubbles for this, but i have to say i kind of agree with a couple of the reviewer's points.
i wouldn't have given it a 4 though. that's just being sh!tty on their part and they probably did it to get hits on pure controversy... but i personally wouldn't have given it a 9 either.
this was my most anticipated game this year... by far. i really really wanted to love this game.
i played through it nonstop since i boug...
you know the developers are based in the UK right? it's made in Great Britain... by British people... who sometimes speak that way... who based Fable's world on their own (a couple centuries removed)...
they are obviously not going to speak the same way characters would in GTA
but with is with the guy on the left (facing away)... it looks like he has a nub on his bum, kind of like a fleshy rabbit tail?? kind of weird.
EDIT: it's not on the header image here. check the pic on the actual site, it's slightly different.
but jdirey you are dead wrong.
"piracy" is NEVER ok. see how easy that was :)
the only ambigous area here (downloading wise) is in regards to expired copyrights/trademarks and things in the "public domain"
applied to the gaming industry, those are pretty much non existent though.
sorry, but that's a bunch of BS. it is stealing, plain & simple. saying it's not is generally what people do to make themselves feel better about doing it.
"Steal: to take (something) without permission or legal right [ie purchase] and without intending to return it."
if Michael Cabbage Pacther is even somewhat close this time (cause you know he is never actually right)... then this is some sad new for the industry.
this was the best January in gaming i can ever remember. i personally struggled to pay my rent on time, after having bought three games on their launch dates (Bayonetta, Darksiders, & Mass Effect 2) and pre-ordering another for Feb.
how can the industry be suffering in this time of plenty?
next time i...
@onlyonN4G
and AvP is the highest game featuring Aliens & Predators!
lets see what other dumb sh1t i can come up with just like you did there.
White Knight Chronicles is the LOWEST rated exclusive...
blah blah blah...
Mass Effect 2 deserves that score, but not your stealth troll comment.
just seeing those word together triggers an instant reaction to aim for the "Back" button on my browser as fast as my poor finger can click.
this site is poorly written and generally panders to the lowest common denominator in the gaming community and in the worst possible way.
contrary to my hearty disdain for them, i can actually respect the all the breeds of fanboys, as they, at least are endearingly passionate about their favourite console and hold st...
a review is just one person's opinion after all , so those who are dubious about the reviews they've seen, should buy/play the game and make a first hand decision afterwards.
i've seen many articles sprout up across the internet today that essentially try to undermine the positive buzz for this game. it's BS.
if the odd person praises something, sure, you should question it... but if EVERYONE is unanimously praising it, well... still question and make up your own op...
kind of feel the same as you Man U... but welcome this change. it's a great idea.
all the music released every week really makes navigating the Game Add-Ons section impossible.
Im glad they are properly merchandising this area and hope they do more for those other areas that need help too, like Indie Games.
sure, i just responded to both of your PM's with the codes for both the game and the phantom of chaos skin dlc.
enjoy
(btw, you can't download/use the skin until GOW3 comes out you play throught it once)
i don't really see these two even tie in together. weird promo if you ask me.
plus, who doesn't have this code already? seems like this exclusive is tossed in all over the place now.
i'm not knocking the demo itself, its great.
if anyone needs a code, let me know. i have 3 extra and would happily share if you've missed out for some reason.
in an ideal world, sure, games would be optimized for each specific console and no compromises would ever be made. but the reality of the situation is hardly something to be upset about.
this article is a big fail for only whining about the "curse" of multi plat while hardly mentioning the "gift" part. the fact that many many gamers get the pleasure of experiencing some great games deserves more than the half sentence it was given.
further, witho...
not sure it was multi plat that caused this, but rather a lack of innovation on Namco's part.
Tekken is truly beloved in my book, Tekken 2 is in the top 5 games ever for me, but i am sad to say that the series just has not evolved as others have, making the games seem a bit tired/dated.
They should learn from SFIV a bit and take some chances with Tekken 7 to get back on top... that and i hope they bring back Jun
but the main gripe they had about wanting to lay in bed and having a hard time managing to waggle a wiimote in between shoving a handful of cheetos down his gob... well, thats just a sad thought really
maybe Natal is for the greater good then, cause it might be a good thing to get someone like that's fat arse out of bed and burning some more calories.
personally, i don't envision Mo Cap controls as something i would want, considering the kind of games i enjoy, but i'...
as much as i enjoy hearing that "squish," they really need to balance out the original vehicles.
running over things with vehicles is too powerful, killing virtually anything with one hit... yet the huge bazooka canons they wield do about as much damage as a slap and a tickle
i'd hardly say people are "missing" these games are all 4 have sold very well, some even in the 7 figures already.
better title might be: "for the love of god, people, stop the insanity and buy these great games instead of crap like Wii Fit Plus"
i bought all 4, Borderlands on XBox and rest on PS3. all very much worth the money.
@Saaking
Dragon Age was the most surprising game of the year imo... graphically, its a bit sh1t sadl...
yeah, was thinking the same thing myself. did a double take there when i saw a 360 game @ #13
way to go Borderlands, after all these months since release too. good for Gearbox. it's a great game, i think. nice to see it doing well.
