i have nothing against shovelware - its needed to broaden the target demographic - but if they want to target kids and families a price drop is needed

Shovelware is needed for any console to have broad appeal.
You cannot simply cater to the "Hardcore" demographic - males 14 - 35.
You need stuff for kids + families.
At $600 you cater to the hardcore - but as the ps3 price drops - the shovelware will come as the other demographics will be targeted.
I just hope some platformers come - i'm tired of playing them on psp
I doubt a price drop will come to the west soon - the hardware is the only real money maker

If you took the time to check, you can get a brand new Go for $200 or a used one at 157 Right now on Amazon.
The used unit is actually being sold by Amazon.

Developers are getting bolder with his dlc crap - announcing it before the game release - I think they expect us to be pleased or grateful - in all fairness we have enabled this BS
