I was expecting "this is the current gen" and what the game now looks like compared to the next gen, but exactly the same from start to finish. Reminiscent of a scam.
The Infinite should have come out only to the next gen. Series S should have been the minimum console + X + PC. Seeing and hearing that the game is built Xbox One in mind (2013), it makes me want to puke, really. That's why the world pops-in, the regular HDD in action.
If the game is aimed for cinematic experience, it should also be locked to a PC at 30 fps and cannot be changed. It's just a lazy port, let's be honest. No one plays Medium on a PC at 30 fps, because the developer said so.
They shouldn't have advertised Halo Infinite or even released it for the Series X as a launch title. 6 months or a year later and make a proper port to the XSX with major visual upgrades, but they have decided otherwise. This current gen is really damaging the reputation of Series X. The game was clearly not ready to show off as part of the next generation. The demo even ran on PC.
An event where you don't want to see any multi-platform games. If you don't have many first party games, keep the show short, but don't fill it with Valhalla, Dirt 5, etc.
Now it sounds logical. That's why they mentioned 30fps (and people laughed hard, thinking it was on the Series X). See the UI, you'll see Xbox buttons.
to Ash01Live: The so-called "showcase" also requires skill and enthusiasm to push games or graphics. If the developer does not have this desire or skill, the first party games on the Series X will never look better. That's why they have so many 6/10 games that their studios are low-skilled and can't "push" anything.
to aquamala: It's not like an Xbox party where the message always appears, no matter where you are. You can only invite people while they are in the menus. If they jump from one game to another...they will probably never see that you want to let them know that you are there. Communicating between the two platforms are so complicated and different that I started to really hate the crossplay.
Why the crossplay sucks (example in Warzone). Communicating with other platforms is a nightmare. I'm amazed at how few Xbox players there were .. most play either on PS4 or a PC and sending messages is a headache. They never see or answer because chat only works in the main menu, a small window in the bottom right corner was so easy to overlook. The reason I had to uninstall the game. No one played Plunder in my country and communicating with the added friends from other platforms never w...
