But the real question is can Astro's Playroom be nominated for GOTY?
Its definitely a full-fledged game clocking in at approx. 6 hours.

So ... since MS has said, they'll eventually let other 3rd party to create external drives, in time, some 3rd party company is bound to release a memory expansion adaptor. Where it plugs into XSX's external expansion slot and lets you mount a compatible PCIe 4.0 module on the adaptor. DIY Plug'nUse SSD expansion.
So ... users can replace the current SSD the XSX ships with a compatible higher capacity one like 2TB or even 4TB. And use the SSD that shipped with XSX on the E...

People here are confusing between the functionality of PS's Switcher and Xbox's Quick Resume.
PS5 lets user jump back into a game's savepoint from the game's card from the UI and it does it pretty quickly.
But every time, the game needs to rebooted from scratch and all resources needs to be pulled in from the SSD.
So reaching that particular save point in the game is the key factor here.

I don't understand. The game might be shorter. But its still an open world game. Gamers still get to free roam and invest more time into the game.

Quick Resume a technique of saving the entire state of a game application as is on the SSD and maintained at OS level.
PS5's Switcher's a bit different
Switcher allows to directly boot into the save of the last game played. Reference:

Not same as Xbox's Quick Resume. Quick Resume basically freezes the game and saves it, unrelated...

I am really curious regarding the PS4 version of the game.

Who even said anything about removable? Did you even read the damn article?
It has been established for quite a while now, that proper next-gen titles won't run off of the SATA storages on both platforms. You need the PCIe-based solutions for those.
But users should be able to store those games on the external storage to free up internal space and copy back to the internal SSD when deciding again to play those games. Especially since there's also the fact that PS5 wo...
