Psychonauts 2 was announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. They didn't announce it for PS5 or XSX then (2015).
The XSX version happened coz MS bought them. And MS respected existing deal, hence the game wasn't made Xbox exclusive and thus the PS4 version wasn't cancelled.
If this was still being published by Starbreeze then both XSX+PS5 version could've happened, if Starbreeze was willing to fund the extra platform development cost.
But MLB The Show was ...
Yea I stand corrected. Starbreeze was the original publisher but MS purchased the publishing rights at 13.2 million and still kept it multi-plat as was announced.
Since they are releasing it this late, D.Fine should've considered a native port for the PS5, instead of the BC PS4 Pro version.
And it'll get the obligatory Sam Fisher DLC or "Season's update".
Looks very similar to CoD. Can easily fool anyone uninformed that this is this years CoD's MP gameplay.
Call of Duty Ghost II or Black Ops V.
@autobotban
"needed remastering" ~ as in publisher deemed those fit for remastering. I didn't say all PSP titles got remastered.
Ain't saying Essentials is an underwhelming game.
Similarly, I really wanted MGS Peace Walker for the home consoles and well, it got remastered by BluePoint for PS3/X360 a year later.
@autobotdan
I know what SC Essentials was. But its way past its time for it to be remastered. The PSP games that needed remastering got remastered for the PS3 or 360.
I doubt UbiSoft'll go back to retouch handheld games instead of their mainline titles. They'd rather put effort on Pandora Tomorrow or Chaos Theory instead.
If Ubisoft is unable to come with a Splinter Cell sequel, they can at least try a Splinter Cell Reboot.
Or at least Splinter Cell 1 Remake for 'eff sakes.
AMD made FSR open source this month and has been made available on GPUOpen under an MIT license. The full source code is available on GitHub. This bodes well not only for game developers but for modders, too, as someone already managed to add FSR to Grand Theft Auto V without even having access to the source code. Such mods and hacks should be even easier now.
DF compared it with XSS because XSS is being considered the bare minimum for current-gen. And Steam Deck although sharing the same Zen2/RDNA2 architecture, is much less powerful and operating at much lower power draw. So they were wondering Deck might be able to run recent cross-gen games but what about 2 years later when proper current-gen only starts dropping. Can this portable device be able to keep up, even at 720p resolution.

2022 - Games getting delayed to 2023. Why? Too many games for far less release window.
2022 - The year of too many games.
This is a prototype unit.
Also, More powerful than a base PS4 and the base Xbox One and runs games at 720p.
And it won't be CPU limited like GCN architecture on those consoles because its Zen 2 based.
Couple that with FSR and 60fps should be no brainer.
And all that in a N.Switch size with extra buttons.
And if Windows is installed.
It'll able to play both PS and Xbox as well as emulated Switch games ... that too portably.
Nintendo fans: We want Nintendo Switch Pro!!!!
Gabe: Fine....I'll do it myself
"... with better dev."?
It'll be impressive but I doubt this'll lead to their next project.
Seems like they're re-using some of the cave demo's nanite assets a bit. Which is fine but I expect a studio like Coalition to brew up some new assets and environments. But then again they had little time and this is just a tech demo.
Which means Xbox release is probably 2023
Stop igniting.
