I don't get why everyone says every game should be able to do amazing visuals at 1080/60 now. Better hardware allows you to do the same visuals at higher fidleity, or better visuals at the same fidelity, and sometimes both. Do people realise better visuals with slightly increase fidelity is already a strain. I'd rather play Halo 5 at dynamic resolution 60fps than Halo 1 at 120fps 4k
Well many cod superfans, including some of my own friends, got xbox one cus cod has always been a big thing on here and it has the month early dlc, so much of those fans are already at xbox. I do expect higher sales on PS4, but I expect the disparity to be much smaller than is usually expected of third party titles
I have an Xbox and after seeing it at friend's house, I watched a full play of it, bought it when it came out on Xbox and I'm absolutely gonna buy 2. Outstanding game
I don't really care tbh. We know it's not representative. Stop giving us gameplay demos with graphics that don't make it into the final game, that annoys me most.
I can see the argument for a regular controller, but with an elite controller, if the battery dies you're left with a $150 paperweight if the battery is internal. I agree with the current design.
Everyone moaned about the campaign but literally every single thing in the campaign was explained, even the origin of Blue team was talked about by Osiris and other spoiler plot points required no former knowledge or were explained in the game.
That's intentional...and I agree with it.
Campaign could have been handled better in the story's delivery, but I loved the story itself. No spoilers, but you wouldn't expect 343 to take such a HUGE creative risk with the plot in a franchise as big of this. Really caught me off guard and I'm all caught up waiting for the (hopefully) finale in 2018 (3 years, goddammit). Bold move, 343, kudos.
Star wars of gaming, yeah, but still too limited in appeal to attract the audience that the nostalgia inducing industry changing mega giant that is Star Wars attracts. Directly compared, Halo could never step up to it (although I wish it could)
Spoiler free would be erasing 90% of that headline you moron
How has no-one realised the hunt they were talking about is the hunt for cortana, which is why they put 'beginning' of the greatest hunt. And technically the entire campaign was Locke hunting chief and Chief doing his own thing which is what they said it'd be.
I was mad when I saw the news, but I played the campaign and it felt natural. There wasn't enough missions they could make out of his arc without making campaign short and the missions you play as him are really meaty too. I love the campaign, great turn of events, avoid any comment sections for those who have yet to play it, cus the stuff that happens is BIG
I just finished and I thought it was absolutely spectacular
I'm not even going to dignify that headline with a serious comment . Halo's story has and always will be its best feature and the feature which made it into the global superstar of gaming it is today. Saying it doesn't matter is just plain stupid.
I thought Reach was the worst. Characters killed off in silly ways and poor character development, and it contradicted pre established canon. Was cool seeing it leading into Halo 1 though. Felt full circle
I'm getting both, but I think Halo 5 is a better deal for sure (even if it was just a multiplayer standalone)
I was always under the impression that it would be 50/50 maximum. Chief and his team are shrouded in mystery, the whole game is about 'hunting the truth' and hunting Chief. Wouldn't be much mystery if you play out all the answers as Chief only to replay the same trail as Locke. I'm not saying that's a good or a bad thing, I'm just frankly not surprised. I believe next game will be Chief and Blue team versus the world, or Chief solo, I can't see them doing the teams...
How come very few of the 9.5-10 scores make it to metacritic? Is it because they exclude smaller sites to ensure only the bigger more reputable reviwers are counted as reviewers? Not disagreeing or anything, just always wondered why many reviews don't count on metacritic
Nice to see such a positive review. I thought the game was excellent. Multiplayer 10/10, story 8/10. Overall I give 9/10
