Genre is key. Microsoft has huge FPS', third person shooters, racers, maybe crackdown for action/adventure free roam.
I think a big new franchise of puzzle (e.g portal style) or a good linear action/adventure third person game (like fable but perhaps more modern like ps4 has with uncharted, maybe buy remedy and make quantum break/other ip big third person franchise) or a huge nitty gritty rpg. RPG is a real gap in xbox exclusives and it's a popular area where Microsof...
Agreed. Hype does dissipate over time and the wait turns from excitement to frustration.
Also I think less time from announcement to release means less things released about it so the game is a much more fresh experience given you've seen much less all over gaming news sites.
A collection?
Gears of War 4?
BOTH?
Whatever it is, my body is ready.
They really need to explore more of this lore in the games, a LOT of it goes on in comics and stuff which can be confusing to fans who only play the games when they delve into the middle of these plotlines.
I know everyone would see it as milking, but I think it'd be cool to see some new characters and explore more of the forerunner lore/blue team lore in some way in the games e.g a game about the events between halo 1 and 2, where you destroy the huge covenant station ...
Doesn't make a comment = mindless corporate PR villain
Apologises and promises change = lies and pathetic attempts at saving face
Right OK.....
what do you expect her to do to apologise except telling them to fix it? Promise a free game, remaster another map? Oh wait...
I am in no way defending their choice to release it before it was ready, but insulting the head claiming she doesn't care is downright childish. They weren'...
It happens. Microsoft buy games. Sony buy games. Both companies (and the developers, don't forget) exercise their right to do the most they can to obtain the best exclusives they can, be it first or third party, to satisfy their customers and help them know they made the right choice.
If fanboys are going to rage, then i expect an equal amount of protest and hatred directed at the console company which you chose.
You win some you lose some. Enjoy what y...
You must have been blocking her out for a while then, do you really think you were right in saying she didn't comment in like 8 months?

SPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSP OILER!!!!!!!! WHY?!
I really hope that was a symbolic statement. Like you know, how his spirit died and he's not the same as he used to be kind of thing.
343 messed up. Not their fault alone, but they did, but is it really necessary to denounce them and assume they learn no lessons. The halo 5 beta was extraordinary and instead of blasting people with information and causing hate, they said 'hang on, play it, and you'll see it feels like halo'.
I was one of the haters...and it was my favourite halo multiplayer to date.
The dedication and unwavering regret and effort this team has made to better the...
I feel microsoft hit the nail on the head in terms of how cloud gaming/online can benefit games.
I think they were wrong to try and incorporate that into the whole console however, what they should have done, and are now learning to do, is allow a vast range of gamers to play and enjoy games and exclusives on your console, while having a handful of online only games to try and test the waters of what can be achieved realistically and how gamers react.
I thi...
1. I don't think there's any chance of xbox crushing playstation even when dx12, windows 10, halo master chief collection and great bundles haven't really made a dent, so I doubt oculus rift will turn the tide
2.Why does it need to? These are both consoles in the gaming market and as long as both brands stay profitable and financially healthy, it encourages healthy competition which we ALWAYS benefit from. I hope neither 'crushes' the other and both contin...
I know it will anger a lot of people, but i really want to see how cloud computing can really have a meaty impact on game rendering and destructible free roam games, even if it means only online. They've been teasing the capability of cloud gaming for a while and we've all been asking to see good proof. Maybe this is their chance to win us over? Is online only justifiable with that they've achieved with it? I for one think in crackdown it will be, but hopefully we'll see soon!...
I think we know this by now
Yes, just I don't delude myself into thinking every ps exclusive is bad. I'm very jealous of a lot of sony exclusives. I've just always preferred halo, forza, fable, crackdown, GoW etc. I just feel if I can't appreciate good games, what kind of gamer would I be? :/
PS+ undoubtedly better value for money than xbox live gold. You guys get metal gear ground zeroes and cloudberry kingdom in one month and we get pool nation for 3 months...Jump ahead :P
I must say it's very odd timing releasing alongside the flagship xbox franchise.
I think in this case, delaying forza to early next year mixed with quantum break to ensure variety, while leaving halo and tomb raider this holiday, also ensuring variety, would have been the better option here.
I feel as long as quality is maintained, new releases will always be appreciated. Look at playstation's amazing long-running exclusives like Gran turismo, Ratchet and Clank, God of war etc. Some franchises will always be successful and fresh as long as they're still good games.
It's determining the right franchises to properly flesh out which is key.
Hoping that we'll get some surprises on halo 5 besides what we already know, plus some news on the crackdown reboot.
All this talk of cloud computing generated destruction seems to point to online only. The reaction to that news would certainly be....interesting to watch
This game looks amazing. Can't wait.
I can only hope Kojima is taken on by someone who gives him the respect and creative freedom the guy deserves.
What with Sony getting new exclusives left and right, it begs the question will they take on kojima as first-party dev? He'd be an amazing asset and his games being exclusive again would be another huge win for sony.
Never played Tomb raider until the reboot. Really got me hooked, might pick up the next one if I have enough money after halo, battlefront and other holiday games
