That's not to say I disagree with the review however, I think DriveClub is average at best and the graphical downgrade over the past year has been disappointing. I just don't consider Luke Reilly the most trustworthy of reviewers, either.
I'm curious to see if DriveClub has had any kind of visual downgrade to allow for the introduction of weather etc. The main reason being that if you watch the third video in the article (BMW F10 M5 gameplay) round the Canada track, you can see that the track is missing a huge amount of trackside scenery that was there in the original gameplay demos that were being posted at E3 last year.

I respect them for having unique locations, actually. So many racing games all have the same tracks, but DriveClub features a variety of environments that you very rarely see in any video games at all, which I think is really refreshing. If they ever do add a city track, I hope it's a city that nobody has ever shown in a racing game before.
I think Dark Souls was a really good game, but Dark Souls 2 is just wholly unremarkable in every regard. It seems glaringly obvious now that Namco relegated development of that game to some b-team while they shifted the talented folk over to Bloodborne. I just hope that they don't leave the Dark Souls franchise to be run into the ground by the idiots that made the second game.

Uplay is a terrible, unnecessary service that always breaks when games launch. The most recent example was Watch_Dogs.

Yeah Bad Company 2 is the best Battlefield game, and they put out a lot of free DLC for it too. It will be awesome to see the playerbase revived and more active again.
