Same, I pirated it to try it out and it was a disappointing game, dodged a bullet right there.
The RSX in the PS3 is supposed to be based off of the 7800 GTX but in-real world performance it never really seemed to match that. The Cell was more powerful, in theory, than any CPU of the time yet PC games managed to looked better by a good margin with the 7800 GTX.
This is only true if you're not a 7th gen kiddie. Everyone knows this except for the fanboys arguing PC vs consoles into oblivion with decade-old arguments ad nauseum.

It did turn me off from Ubisoft, FC4 will be the last time I get a game from them, they killed Driver anyway.
The Order has a lot more publicity so it generates more response from the community.
There were no confirmation from anyone but rumors for that game (and Pikmin, Bayonetta, etc). Smash and Windwaker HD were officially confirmed to be 1080p not even a week after their announcements.

You can tell the game is 1080p from the screenshots. There is not much AA so it's very easy to tell.
Steam doesnt back up all games and doesnt necessarily do it by default. Not everyone uses Stram either (I'll buy GOG if I can).

I can't speak for ABS nor CBS but CNN is definitely not liberal. Their main problem and the reason their relative ratings are so low is their "everybody is right" mentality.

I think FC4 will be my last Ubisoft game in a while if ever, and I'm only getting it to play with a friend. Ubisoft is on its way to become a new form of EA.
