You're probably right. I personally know a lot of old school ps1/ps2 gamers that really don't care about gaming as much as they used to are still waiting for the games that they deem as "classics' to come out before buying the PS4. FFXV did it for some. But I feel that Games like FF7 remake, GT and Kingdom Hearts 3 will bring a lot of these guys back.
The game awards is about pleasing the masses not about what's better. I've always felt that way.

Well Sony did say that they will be more careful on what to announce from here on out so that's probably why.
I think it's either one of two things. 1:They only put the titles that are guaranteed to come out in 2017. 2: they wanted the promotional video to be strictly 2 minutes long.

Buy a PC first the library is big enough to warrant a purchase and at this point you might as well consider your pc purchase an Xbox purchase. You can even play some of the games shown here in this article. The pro can wait till next Christmas. The scorpio will be released by that time and Sony might drop the price of the pro.
To answer your question. No, a 1000$ PC cannot play all current games at 4k 60fps, nevermind all the future titles.

You want the action part of it to be mediocre or just gets the job done like W3? If you really want that then I suggest inventing a new genre. Call it a Cinematic RPG because that's what i feel some of you guys really want.
Sadly the only AAA modern beat em up games i can think of are Batman and the Yakuza series.
Im Just saying that they really had something unique with the original game.
We have the tales series for swords, this has(or had) an awesome ww2 themed combat and weaponry which is quite unique for a JRPG. I just think that they should have expanded on that instead of this generic-ness.
