So it's Tolkien's art and they're dabbling with it so the least they could do is respect its integrity. What's next ? You should count the time when Frodo kept the ring until he became 50 years old. So atleast 80 years. Plenty of time fit in this story imo.

Exactly, their A team, the one that made Bayonetta 2 is the one that's working on Nier. So basically their B team were working on Scalebound....a game with a grander scale. Maybe it was too much work for them.

Those amazing Sony developed boss battles, good stories, voice acting, gameplay mechanics etc started out as Crash and Ape Escape for crying out loud.
