I don't see why Xbox or PS4 wouldn't be BC, they are both just computers with a custom OS at this point. It's not too much of a step further than the X and Pro models. I think this generation had "future backwards" compatibility in mind, but also just as side effect of the systems (Xbox, PS, PC) being similar and making multi platform development easier.

Wouldn't actually say Chains is necessary before going into 2 since you know just as much as Sora. While I do like a lot from 358/2, aside from a few things it's mostly world/character building Days came out after 2 anyway and would take a lot of mystery away. Maybe I'm just trying to simulate how I experienced the story but in that case I actually started playing 2 first lol. Cutscenes should be sufficient for sure.

I honestly thought $400 was too cheap for the ps4. The PS3 gen partially lasted so long because the hardware was good enough at launch to last as long as it did but PS4 was made to sell units. Not to say PS4 is a disappointment there are amazing games on there and it is impressive what they're able to push on that box. So Cerny saying it's priced for gamers and that it's including some kind of SSD implantation makes me think it'll be a $500 price point. I think this will truly...
