I'm hoping for a PS4 release, I'd be sold for sure!
I can already see this is going to be the kind of game that makes heads hurt. Challenge accepted.
I've been keeping an eye on this game for some time, it is one of the more intriguing indie games.
Indie games will continue to matter for the foreseeable future. The traditional publisher model is not going away, but it is nice to have the option of buying indie games which are more or less free of the corporate money machine.
Glad to see indies continuing to gather so much attention!
Art reminds me of Kentucky Route Zero, very nice!
What really adds to this games foreboding atmosphere is how absolutely helpless the player feels. It isn't often that we feel this way in games, and it doesn't feel great, it feels awkward and uncomfortable, which is exactly what you should feel when playing Outlast.
"DAVID: Be innovative. Stay small and focus. Deliver AAA quality game at low cost. Have fun. It’s a passion you know! We want to push boundaries and go where nobody went before us."
Please keep this ideology. This is exactly what we love about indie/small studios!
Whistleblower is my absolute favorite kind of DLC, take control of a new character that is familiar to the story and add more content to the world, but not necessarily the main character of the base game. I have this kind of deep seeded hatred for DLC that adds a new chapter to the end of the existing story, kind of makes the events of the base game's ending seem pointless (this is not a blanket statement, just a general thought).
A great indie addition to the horror genre. Anyone who doubts how scary Outlast is needs to play the area that has you switching on the breakers in the basement. That's new undies material.
I will henceforth refer to this game as Pulp Fiction: The Game, and that is in no way a bad thing.
As I have said about other games, bring this to PS4 and I WILL BUY IT! Need a good excuse to start up my PS4 until October.
I'm glad to see this game coming to android, I am in desperate need a few new good android games!
I've said it before, no choice is as gut-wrenching as a choice that has no clear right or wrong, just a choice with decisions you have to live with. I hope this game focuses on those kinds of decisions, as it seems to.
I mentioned on another article that this graphic style was not my cup of tea, however as I see more screenshots of the game I think it's growing on me, might have to check this one out.
Controversial content is the bread and butter of indie gaming. There are plenty of AAA games to give us safe and familiar. I'm not disregarding AAA games as I love those as well, but when I play an indie game I want crazy, out-of-the-box, controversial, and experimental.
I am very excited for the narrative portion of this game, however the graphic style, while good, is just not my cup of tea.
Glad to see a developer that values freedom of choice, and more importantly presents choices that exist in a gray area. Almost none of the choices we make in life exist in black and white, if it is that far out of our moral spectrum it's not even a choice, but that gray area is a whole other story.
Would love a PS4 port. Until October comes and floods me with games I will buy pretty much anything that gives me a reason to turn my PS4 on.
I think this fourth dimension idea is one of the more creative I've heard in a while. Love you!
