Fantastic news indeed. And this is only the beginning :)
Ninty would make so much money if they left the home console business, focused on hand held and went third party, or even exclusive to either console(well PS4, atm). They would rake it in while not losing money on a system that apparently can't seem to be saved even with first party software. Put all resources into hand helds and they'll be safe for life.
Reviews aside, KS:SF is the top bought next gen exclusive so they should be proud of that, more than likely for the awesome multiplayer modes that differ from the twitch shooters. Hopefully they can iron a few things out with the next killzone but it's a good start off to the gen by looking like it does.
Still can't believe Knack topped Mario. Nintendo need to sort their sh!t out fast!
@thrust
People have been waiting an age for new systems, if one is unavailable they'll be more tempted to get the other. Especially impulse buying and Christmas coming up. That should help out the XB1 some what.
Rumour has it that Sony can produce 1mil consoles a month though so maybe it won't help them in the long run.
The XB1 needs a pricecut FAST or at least dropping the kinect out of the box to lower it.
Holy christ lol o.O
Why didn't any of these people pre-order?! I'm still amazed that console launches are even this epic. I'd have thought waiting in line, the sales rush etc would have been neutered some what by online shopping. Really really surprising. World War Z all up in Germany!
Extremely reasonable number to reach. they might even be close to 3mil by the end of the year.
when there's no PS4s left to buy, Xb1s sales should increase definitely.
PS4 has more than enough games for next year. A steady stream is more effective than a short lived gush.
That is pretty telling to be fair. You'll get people on here trying to shoe horn into your brain about their own personal opinions that the XB1 has the stronger, the more diverse and better launch line up.....but apparently these people probably don't even have XB1s, or if they do..they're not buying the games apparently :/
Next stop, Japan! That'll be an interesting one to follow seeing as they're now more handheld happy than any gaming device. XB1 is bomba over there confirmed.
It seems review scores don't always tell the whole story. Ive never, and no-one should really, swear by them to be begin with. But that is definitely a surprise to see Knack above what it was probably in direct competition with. I thought everyone thought it was awful? ;).
Jesus though, Wii-U am cry.
Indeed. I enjoyed the first two so I can't wait to experience true next gen open world goodness, with awesome super powers. Plus SP are already tapping into some of the PS4s GPU compute goodness by compiling all the particle effects on it. n_n
lol @georgeenoob still trying to stealth troll or being objective troll.
Noticed the extra 'e' too, I'm guessing a second account and already down to one bubble. This is why you should never really take seriously what he says, like ever.
@theWB27
You could just ignore these comments you know. Your replies you suggest you don't really care that much, but you could care even less by not replying. Just a pro-tip. Oh and you giving off a slightly bitter internet persona as of now, not sure whether it's the recent news or if you've always typed like that.
It really is a delightful turn around for Sony. They deserve it without a shadow of a doubt. Good press all the way up from February, hitting it out the park with PR and advertising in the very heavy Xbox territories and besting it in sales, demand and mindshare.
It's not the point that the PS4 is 'winning', to me it highlights more the concern for the lack of interest for the XB1. Well I say concern, I mean that it's just interesting to see how each company h...
Looking forward to it. It's going to look magnificent, that's a given. Let's hope Ryse's review scores woke them up a bit on the gameplay department. Not sure why everyone in here is thinking it's Ryse 2 already lol.
@theWB27
the difference between the two and their implementations of QTEs is shown by GoW's being satisfying when needed(as in they're not there all the time) where as in Ryse they become repetitive and tiresome caused by them being the backbone of the gameplay.
@majie
Really? Holy crap those casual gamers! lol
@abz
If you were a fan of the series you'd have enjoyed it regardless. I definitely did. It's main flaw was being developed after the amazing GoW3 which almost seemed to conclude things....almost.
Like when they got caught using Bots on the gamespot twitter pol to boost the numbers :x.
"Please understand."
