I think most major devs did talk crap about the PS3 before they kinda sat down and understood a bit more about how its chips worked. Downside of that is it cost time and money to do just that before they could work on it no doubt.
Take Gabe N for example, out and proud criticised the PS3 and called it a mess, but then low and behold, Portal arrived on PS3 and being the definitive version too(on consoles I think).

The touchpad is already getting quite a lot of love to be honest. It helps that it's a form of direct input as it help for it to be a reliable addition. Just gives more buttons to devs to play around with.
Well what ever the case really, we find out 2moro. I think Sony may have underestimated how much PS4 is genuinely in demand and could be having trouble keeping up. Like I said somewhere else on here, that's kinda a double edged sword if you think about it, it's both good and bad.
