@UltraNova
Not trying to stir things here but, for one, idk where you lived back when MAG released, but I'm certain that having an Internet connection was already as common as it is today.
Also, MAG wasn't precisely "ahead of its time". I might see how console players might have been impressed by the player count back then, but it had been done many a times on PC, and its gameplay in general was fairly mediocre.
Still, I'...
Agreed. It came as a bit of a disappointment even for some (not all) fans of the original Xenoblade such as myself, precisely because it's a little TOO ambitious which makes you feel a little overwhelmed, and because it tries to mimic a MMORPG in its structure, which works just as well as it did for Destiny, which is to say... Bad.
Buying customers =/= stablishing a fanbase.
As a customer, I don't feel short changed by getting a focused, well planned conference, even if it is pre-recorded, as opposed to those dreaded, cringe worthy shows they used to make.
So customers are happy and Nintendo also by putting out a cost efficient conference.
So tell me, who're those "informed costomers" you speak of?
"They get the same amount of press without having to spend exorbitant amounts of money"
Yeah, that's how well earned brand recognition and fan loyalty usually works. No smoke and mirrors... Or paychecks to be more accurate haha.
"OF ALL TIME" and they put the likes of Ubisoft, Bethesda and Telltale?
SMH big time here...
Look, man. I read your article, your response to me and other users, and understand your reasoning. And even then I still do think you're sheepishly defending the matter at hand, that which concerns Farcry Primal's map design.
So we're at square 1 again. You can freely disagree with my comments and/or flag me for whatever reason you find convenient, but I won't change nor SHOULD change my assumption towards your reasoning as a gamer. Why? Because it's my o...
So what? I didn't think U3 was precisely "good" by Uncharted standards, yet I'll still get Uncharted 4 in due time. Though, I probably won't be shelling out $60 for it.
Still, even if it doesn't live up to the hype (very few games usually do), it will come and go, and we'll carry on with our lives. No point in an article like this.
I disagree with you and your article. What else is there to say?
Yeah, let's make it even easier for developers so they don't even have to try to optimize their games! I mean, we're already halfway there!/s
Don't like "outdated" specs? Go build/buy a top model PC.
Though, if a development team is actually talented, the age of the console should not have anything to do with their games looking good AND performing well. Don't believe me? Play anything made by Retro Studios or Naughty Dog, for ex...
Meh. It seems gamers will defend any BS developers feed them nowadays.
I apologize, it's just that I believe that being unprofessional while replying to consumers on Tweeter could be seen as disrespectful, and therefore "rude". So that's where I got the whole "rude" thing.
Are you for real? this isn't even being rude!
Have you ever read Hideki Kamiya's Tweets? Now, those are hardcore (and so satisfying to read).
That's pretty awesome, actually!
I never got the whole "my piece of plastic is better than yours, so I'll defend it like it's my wife, and piss on yours!" type of comments that would lead to this kind of behaviors from gamers...
Short version to clear up whatever was it that you didn't understand:
Nintendo losing third party support has nothing to do with them being terrible partners (which by itself is false, as proved by the reception of developers that actually made games hand-to-hand with Nintendo).
@Disagree fairies
Sweet Jesus, the denial in this comments section is astounding.
Co-developed games =/= third party games. I'm pretty sure you know this already but decided to make a bashful comment instead. What a pity.
Nintendo has been surprisingly successful in developing games alongside other developers in recent years. The fact that some of the biggest publishers like EA and Ubisoft decided to release half-baked ports on the Wii U and then walked away with their tails between their legs in response to fan disapproval should not stain the image w...
Maybe if it turned out to be a handheld, and even that sounds too soon.
A new Nintendo home console in 2016? Lol, no chance in h***.
3DS has spoiled me. It's hard to picture myself playing this kind of games without the useful second screen. The best place to be for JRPGs this gen, without a doubt.
That being said, I wouldn't mind a Vita or even a PS4 Megami Tensei game so long as it's not just a port of a previous game.
Also... F*** mobile.
Damn... Wallet's empty right now. Otherwise, I'd love to get my hands on SOMA.
Whaaaa? No way! I didn't even realize that game had been announced! This is great news! I loved the original SMT4.
@UltraNova
Yeah... In that case, I'd probably ask a friend to let me play it at his house.
It's just that I got fed up with the pay to play online business model of PS+. It's just a huge paywall, let alone every game nowadays having multiple DLC expansions and micro-transactions. So I'm taking a break from online play at the moment.
