You can complete any game really quick if you rush through everything ignoring any cutscene (ok maybe not 5 minutes) But you should know from previous MGS games it's as much about the cutscenes as the gameplay. Plus it helps to know where everything is, so those who completed it in 5 minutes obviously are re-playing the level to see how quick they can do it.
There's more content than people think in GZ, mainly because it will connect to TPP and things like the people...
Isn't the value in every game from replaying? Even if that's only online multiplayer - you're replaying the same maps over and over in different ways.
I can understand the 'demo' statement as GZ was designed to teach everyone the new techniques found in TPP but there's far more content than people seem to think - i've spent more time playing GZ than Watch Dogs, and i've completed the story and all side missions on Watch Dogs. There's story...
@n4gamingm
overpriced demo? - I've had more fun with this than practically every full priced game released on the new generation so far.
You clearly didn't experience the game, if you even played it you just went through it from start to finish, you're obviously not a fan of the series or gaming in general if you only want to finish the main story once, and feel that's getting your moneys worth on ANY title.
All the 'side' missions contain story...
@Saphodravingo
They're not throwing money at people to run a business, they're throwing money at them to prevent the opposition from functioning.
Anyway i didn't say that the money was an issue, i was stating that the money has nothing to do with how 'good' their relationship is with them. You said they were better at building a relationship - when plenty of developers have commended Sony their relationships and others have also criticised Microso...
"They're much better at building relationships with third-party publishers of AAA games"
in other words they have much more money to throw at games developers to prevent them from going multi-platform, nothing to do with good relationships building
@troylazlow
Look at the 'from launch' sales for both the PS3 and 360 - the PS3 consistently outsold the 360. The annual comparisons are inaccurate because the PS3 was always 1 year behind in sales, but if you look at the since launch sales the PS3 did better than the 360.
year 1 - PS3 70K+ more units sold
year 2 - PS3 1.1M+ more units sold
year 3 - PS3 2.4M+ more units sold
year 4 - PS3 2.1M+ more units sold
year 5 - PS3 3.5M+ ...
@Spotie @Sevir
Both of you stated that making games takes money - that's obvious, but surely they've already made that money from the sales of the PS3 version. They should be spending their time making more DLC or a sequel or even a new IP.
This is why a remastered version is a cash grab - they know it's going to sell, not just to those who didn't previously own it but to about half of those who did (for some reason).
I enjoyed the game, but it had it...
@christian hour - no the logical people would not spend full price on a game they've already owned and completed just for a simple graphical upgrade
For those who've already played and completed it I can't see how purchasing it again on PS4 is worth wile - especially at full price again. I owned it on PS3, yes it's a great game, and I had fun completing it a number of times.
But is a graphical upgrade really worth paying full price again? The story's no different, i'm sure all the same MP maps will be there, if you think about it game sequels are usually where the graphical upgrade comes into it, but you also...
Visuals don't hold back gaming. Lazy developers and gullible consumers hold back gaming.
If the developer wanted they could simply only create for PC to give you the 'best' visuals.
If gullible consumers stopped purchasing the same game over and over simply because it 'looks' better than the previous version then the developers would have to come up with something new. And i'm not just talking about remastered versions of games, i'm talkin...
@Imalwaysright & @TardcoreGamer
I think he means officially. Playstation exclusives don't tend to get released on PC.
I don't think he means that there's no possibility for it to be released, just that it probably won't happen.
@HIV-
I agree, I can't understand why people are so worked up over a game which is only visually improved. I thought the whole point of gaming was the gameplay and interaction with the product - if you want good visuals you may as well just watch the TV or a movie.
I can't understand people wanting to re-purchase a game that simply looks better. I mean, I could happily go back and play my PS2 version (or even further back) of games i enjoyed back then - i don't n...
TLoU was a great game, it had it's faults but which games don't? However this is why great games are so few and far between. People go mad for remastered ones. Seriously, if the companies know they can sell old games at better resolutions for full price over and over again, is it any wonder why things like COD and Battlefield get released practically every year with very little difference in the previous version.
Come on people I thought gamers were supposed to be smart, and...
Yeah, the AI team mates never seem to look for space, they always seem to want to get in your way, which only succeeds in ruining your momentum.
@Zod - agreed, the officials are one of my major gripes with Fifa. The linesmen are 'never wrong' even when there's only millimetres in it (and they're never in line to be able to see that), they need to add some human error decisions to the game, that would improve it - even if it does create some frustrating scenarios.
They seem to be focusing mainly on the visuals...with sports games (or any game IMO) it should always be more focus on the gameplay and AI than how good it looks. And both Fifa and PES have fallen way short in gameplay in recent years.
I think the competition have become stale - it needs a new dev to spice things up. Licences aren't important to me. They could just give the game an in depth create mode, so long as the gameplay is great I couldn't care less about the names o...
@JimmyDM90 - How exactly did Sony 'botch' the launch of the PS3 when world-wide sales in the first year of the PS3 were greater than world-wide sales of the 360 in it's first year?
As the consoles were released an entire year apart, you can't compare YTD sales between the two - you have to look at their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, years sales side by side.
In it's first year the PS3 sold over 70,000 more units than the 360.
In it's second year it sold over 1...
This year I went with Fifa because the PES demo was so poor, I wasn't risking anything hoping it would improve with the final build. Fifa though hasn't changed much in the last few years. And there's plenty of things that annoy me about it - mainly the passing, it can't decide if I want to do a strong pass to someone, or play a pass the the player further away - and it always does the one I don't want.
@Exari, agreed - PES214 was not as good as I was expecting, I didn't even buy PES because the Demo was so poor, stuttering and slow. The only reason I own PES2014 is because it was on PS+ a few months back, still doesn't get much use. Felt really clunky and as if everyone was playing in mud
@Malphite - it's not 'just a trailer' it's an in-game cut scene, granted the playable model might not look quite as good as the cut scene one. Plus 'trailer' never dips below 60fps
