I don't usually enjoy platform fighters but this game has been okay so far. I don't like that the main focus is 2v2 though. Fine for offline play but has been an absolute chore for online play. There isn't a netcode good enough to support 4 different connections at the same time in a game like this, especially when the majority are on wifi. However, 1v1 performs fairly well and I can say I've only experienced 3 unplayable laggy matches out of roughly 100 matches in total. 2v2 ...

Sure, but PS5 needs to have way more games before that happens. There is only two games I want to play on PS5 right now and I've technically already played one before (Demons Souls). Usually it only takes one game for me, but the there isn't even any "system seller" games yet.
Did online ever return to a Sims game? The Sims Online was fun and so was The Sims Bustin' Out.

There really isn't much reason to even get a next gen console though. I remember when people said "PS3 has no games" when it actually had a lot of exclusive games. But this new generation? It truly has no games. It is carried entirely from last gen games.

I hope this lights a fire under Sony's butt and brings back true competition among consoles. Enough of this passive playing it safe stuff just cause multiplats have been carrying consoles for generations now.
I'm all for it. I've grown tired of Xbox/Playstation slowly losing their uniqueness each generation with overwhelming amounts of multiplats. I want to get back to the days when each console had almost entire libraries of exclusives whether it was 1st party or 3rd party.

It isn't just a cheating issue. Normal PC gamers can gain significant advantages over console players by using M/KB, playing with superior FOVs, higher framerates (reduces input lag), and higher Hz screens just to name a few. You will always be at a disadvantage with PC players when playing on console.
I'll admit I liked crossplay at first but now I wish to only see console crossplay in the future. At least for games where parity matters.
PSPGo is probably the last handheld design I really liked. Obviously the biggest con is it being digital only but damn that thing was sleek.
At $60 this is a scam but I'm glad the games look like they barely changed.
This better not feel like GTA4 or GTA5. Those games feel like they have unnecessary weight attached to them in everything you do that isn't driving. You'll have a character that is about 180lbs but feels as if he is 500lbs. This will destroy the classic feel of the PS2 titles.
As someone that has played since Demons Souls it is easy to say they aren't difficult. But compared to most games out there they are absolutely difficult and it is easy to see how newcomers get ripped to shreds.
I am cautiously optimistic about this. I've been wanting to play GTA3 and Vice City again for awhile but I'd still like the games to look and control as they did with only upscaled resolution being the difference. I feel this should be the case when they say "still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals".
My connection is pretty solid and so is my friends. We play hardwired only too. All it takes is one person with bad wifi to ruin a whole match in 2v2. I hope this game implements proper wifi detection so you don't get matched up with packet loss players.
